[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154525] [sample] Calc is extremely slow (3+ minutes) to open Lenovo's Accessories "Options Compatibility Matrix" spreadsheet
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154525 --- Comment #11 from b. --- most likely calcs old funbrakes: 'comments / notes / post-it's / captions / annotations or tracking notes' and conditional formatting. Not comments in the bug report, but 'comments', 'notes', in the file. A funbrake in LO Calc since years, and this document has lots! of them. Find similar reports: search for 'comment' 'slow' in bugs, trail down the 'See Also's too. ( there are old reports marked 'fixed', _assume_ 'not' ) Check the amount: F5 ( navigator ), there 'comments'. verify the impact: remove comments and reopen file. ( here > 2 min. -> ~ 1 min. ) _assume_: ineffective iterations / nested looping / somewhere. ( 'quadratic' or 'exponential' 'explosion', other possible sources and influences see in old reports ) remove conditional formattings, save and re-load. ( here ~ 1 min. -> < 40 sec. ) Tested with 7.4.5.1 under Linux. While bugs are pushed around for years instead of solving the problems will be reported again and again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114274 --- Comment #10 from QA Administrators --- Dear killerrex, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156573] New: HID with "?" exists in the Help file but is not resolved correctly when F1 is pressed
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156573 Bug ID: 156573 Summary: HID with "?" exists in the Help file but is not resolved correctly when F1 is pressed Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.5.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Documentation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rafael.palma.l...@gmail.com CC: olivier.hal...@libreoffice.org When a help page for a HID that contains the "?" character is opened, it is not resolved correctly in "index.html" (the help's main page). Steps to reproduce: 1) Open any LO app with the "gen" or "win" backend (if you have the very latest master, it will also work with "kf5") 2) Go to Tools - Macros - Organize Macros - Python 3) Hover over "Python" 4) Press F1 to open the help page Result: The help will try to open the page corresponding to the HID ".uno:ScriptOrganizer?ScriptOrganizer.Language:string=Python" Note that the page should open, because this HID is properly set in: /help/source/text/shared/01/06130200.xhp However, inside the compiled help in the file "hid2file.js", the HID is set differently: ".uno:ScriptOrganizer%3FScriptOrganizer.Language:string=Python" Note that "?" is replaced by "%3F" when "hid2file.js" is built. There is a rule in "/help/help3xsl/generate_hid2file.xsl" that explicitly makes that change. So what's missing is to replace "?" by "%3F" when the HID is called in the index.html main page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156571] New: Perculiar addition error resulting in erronious additional decimal (specifically x.xx99999999999)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156571 Bug ID: 156571 Summary: Perculiar addition error resulting in erronious additional decimal (specifically x.xx999) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: xyh...@hotmail.com Description: A simple table of bank transactions extracted from CSV data (i.e. no formulae, or other hidden data - simply alphanumeric fields) was being used, and values checked by a simple sum ([J90]=J89+E90) comparing against the precomputed values in the table. At row 158 the sum becomes an extended decimal value, whereas prior to this row the numbers are correctly confined to 2 decimal places. However, the sum displayed at the bottom of the spreadsheet window shows erronious valuse with recurring decimal digits earlier in the table at row 128. The data has been checked thoroughly and all values within the CSV are only 2 decimal places. The addition error occurs in the inner workings of LibreOffice Calc somewhere. The table and the imported data are 100% correct. The cell calculation formula appears to be simple, but there is evidently something else going on, other than simple addition. The error shows in the table as -9.0955021292416E-14 at line 158, however the sum appears to acquire the error earlier in the sequence at line 128, where the value is XX.XX999. A small experiment setting the displayed digits in cell format causes the error to disappear (irrispective of the number of decimal places selected) - reverting the cell format to general causes the error to reappear. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open CSV 2. create sum in column at edge of data (column J) 3. find row with value with more than 2 decimal places. Actual Results: Rows after 128 can be seen to have recurring or additional decimal digits. Expected Results: all values computed should match the 2 decimal place values otherwise present in the original data. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Data on the table cannot be shared due to data protection concerns. However, the data is not special in any way - comprises of just text and numbers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153032 --- Comment #16 from Ziggy_N --- Update: it looks like the default options in the debug build are different. By default these are selected: "Add paragraph and table spacing at tops of pages" "Add paragraph and table spacing at bottom of table cells" "Consider wrapping style when positioning objects" "Word-compatible trailing blanks" "Hide paragraphs of database fields (e.g., mail merge) with an empty value" I will try to isolate the faulty option. Export the file again and the content will appear only once. There are many more bugs in this document. But a duplicate of the whole content is main bug for me. Tested with LO 7.4.7.2, appears also on LO 7.1.5.2 (which is the last usable version, because all versions since LO 7.2 ignore decimal places, write '0' instead of '0,64' and so it couldn't be set back to '0.64' - same with '1,27') Tested with OpenSUSE 15.4 64bit rpm Linux. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
