Wow! I don't remember leaving this pointer. While poking around for a solution to bug 155741 I ran across this and was going to report. I even made a video demo :). I *don't* repro this bug using gtk3. I *do* repro for x11 and qt5 vcl plugins. Part B. Gtk3 greys-out disabled entries while sal instance users (x11, qt5, win) hide them. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 157268] Libre office Calc - Chart: Cannot get Time axis to be accurate
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157268 --- Comment #3 from MikeD --- Hi Ady, OK. changing line type to line does work - BUT - you still can't change the format of the time in the x-axis- selecting e.g. 01:37PM as the format:- the output still includes the date. However, if you take the date off the column, so as it is HH:mm:ss rather than dd-mm- HH:mm:ss it all falls over again. I need to be able to format the axis to HH:MM. I' don't comprehend the difference between line and x-y scatter, as they seem to produce similar results{, but have different axis format menus} As a suggestion, the Axis format should have both an input format specifier, and an output format specifier: The code would then know how the data in the column is formatted, and also the required output. regardless of the chart type the axis format should be able to read the data from the column, it currently cannot === BUG. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 157268] Libre office Calc - Chart: Cannot get Time axis to be accurate
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157268 --- Comment #2 from ady --- I could be wrong but you might want to try changing the Chart type from x-y (scatter) to "Line" (or start the wizard to insert a new chart). I’m not sure this is always a good match; YMMV and do it at your own risk – you shall not blame anyone else if in this and/or some other case the result is not adequate. Please remember that "time" in Calc is actually a numeric value between 0 and 1, that is displayed as "time" (of day/date). I'm not sure we see a bug here, but rather a question more appropriate for https://ask.libreoffice.org . -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 157268] New: Libre office Calc - Chart: Cannot get Time axis to be accurate
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157268 Bug ID: 157268 Summary: Libre office Calc - Chart: Cannot get Time axis to be accurate Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.6.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: m...@mata-ni-bula.com Description: When trying to compose a chart with a TIME scale on the X Axis, the resulting chart is incorrect (Read totally messed up). Under no circumstances can I get the data to correctly relate to the time points, or get the time axis to autoscale correctly. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Generate two columns of data, Col A is 00:00:00 to 23:45:00 in 15 minute intervals, format as time. 2. Column B is numerical data, 1 ..96, or constant with a few different points for calibration. 3.Select Both columns, and then Insert>Chart>x-y scatter chart, finish. Actual Results: chart is scaled from 12:00:00AM to 12:00:00AM, with Y axis centred.Chart range covers 48 hours, with x axis auto-scaling to 4800:00:00. If you force scale to 24 hours (00:00:00 to 24:00:00) then data is not correctly related to time. Expected Results: x axis scaled from 00:00:00 to 23:45:00 (or 00:00:00am), with y axis on left hand side, x axis covering 24 Hours, not 48. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: file to be attached, containing sample data. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 157267] New: PDF export always seems to be lossless even when selecting JPEG compression
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157267 Bug ID: 157267 Summary: PDF export always seems to be lossless even when selecting JPEG compression Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.6.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Printing and PDF export Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: murdomaclach...@duck.com Description: I just updated to LibreOffice 7.6.1 today having prievously been on 7.5.6. It seems on this version that when exporting to PDF, selecting JPEG compression and or "Reduce image resolution to:" makes no difference. My testing suggests the document is always exported at lossless compression, no matter the settings. I noticed this as I have a Writer document I regularly export to PDF, and I always have JPEG compresson selected, with quality around 35% (I don't remember the exact number any more, as I changed it when testing). Usually this results in a ~1 MiB PDF, but after I updated to 7.6.1 it went up to 3.1 MiB for my most recent version. I messed around with different compression qualities and turning "Reduce image resolution" on and off and selecting different values for it, but there was no change in file size. Eventually I siwtched to "Lossless compression" and as I suspected it gave the same file size. As such, I believe this is always being used even when other methods are selected. I've tested with some other documents of various sizes, as well as testing some Calc documents to make sure it's not just Writer, and can confirm this seems to be happening for all LibreOffice documents. I'm unable to test 7.6.0 as I install LibreOffice from a package manager that doesn't support downgrading. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load any document in LibreOffice 2. Export to PDF with lossless compression 3. Export to PDF with various JPEG compression qualities Actual Results: File size is always the same (large due to lossless compression) Expected Results: File size should be different depending on compression options chosen Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.6.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 60(Build:2) CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-GB (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US SlackBuild for 7.6.1 by Eric Hameleers Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Now between these lines in dbaccess/source/ui/tabledesign/TableController.cxx: 1196 ::dbaui::setColumnProperties(xColumn,pField); 1197 xAppend->appendByDescriptor(xColumn); we could add 3 more info in xColumn (which is an XPropertySet): - column name before (or empty if current is first column) - column name after (or empty if current is last column) - position (Firebird begins with 1, https://firebirdsql.org/file/documentation/chunk/en/refdocs/fblangref30/fblangref30-ddl-table.html#fblangref40-ddl-tbl-altraltrpos) Now drivers could use these infos or not so could be a first step. To give a more precise idea, I attached an incomplete prerequisite patch. Incomplete because it seems the extra info must be declared in some interface. I don't think I'll know how keep on this but just wonder if it could be a interesting way to follow for some coders. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153306 --- Comment #17 from Victor Graus --- I'm the author of Bug 157251, which is a duplicate of this one. In my case the issue has been solved thanks to a recommendation from Telesto, without needing to download the latest master build. Following Telesto, I have gone to Tools/Options/LibreOffice/View and I've checked the box "Force Skia Software Rendering", and the bug is now fixed. Alternatively it also works well if I uncheck both "Use Skia For All Rendering" and "Force Skia Software Rendering", but I check "Use Hardware Acceleration". I don't know if these tricks will work for everyone. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

The Tools/Options/LibreCalc/View no longer has this checkbox to disable or enable "Select cells behind objects". Google Bard said it was on The Tools/Options/LibreCalc/Grid area but it isn't there. Bard now says this is a known bug. I can't say when it was introduced because I don't modify graph behavior very often. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a Spreadsheet with an existing embedded graph in a shared data and graph tab 2. Try selecting the graph by clicking on any part of it 3. Only the cells behind the graph can be select Actual Results: The graph acts as though it is transparent / non-existent and clicking only selects cells underneath graph Expected Results: The graph should be the "top" object and double clicking the object should be selectable Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Graphs should be on top of the grids and double-click should select any object over the spreadsheet cell grid array. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

However, full steps would be: 1. Create an empty presentation in impress 2. Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings -> Mouse pointer as pen 3. Start presentation and make a drawing 4. End presentation: see that ink remains on slide as a shape 5. Start presentation again, remove the ink the slide from the context menu 6. End presentation Result: Even though the ink was removed from the slide, it is still present in edit mode. So I guess we do have the issue that the ink drawings that were made permanent can be "erased" during the slideshow, but that they persist in edit mode. It was mentioned in bug 136249, but it's not the focus of the report anymore. Maybe the fix should be that "Erase all ink on slide" only removes what was drawn _during this presentation_, not the previous persistent one? I think something needs to change, it currently feels like a bug.
