Thanks for the report, and sorry you lost some work.
The new version 24.2 has "save autorecovery information" turned on by default,
which should help new users recover most data in case of crash.
In any version, you can make sure you have that setting turned on in: Tools >
Options > Load/Save > General.
I recommend updating to version 7.6 or 24.2, as 7.5 will not see further
releases.
Regarding the crash you experienced, without more information (steps to
reproduce it, crash report, backtrace...), it will be difficult for us to
investigate.
What might be useful is:
- the full version information copied from Help > About LibreOffice
- the Skia log (in 7.6, it can easily be copied with Tools ▸ Options... ▸
