screenshot of the proper placements of line-spacing, fornt, size and style in
context

I have used LibreOffice writer (and openoffice before that) for a decade and I
have relied heavily on the edit context menu containing the 'Line Spacing'
context menu as legal documents shift between single/double space many times
within a page. For reasons unexplained the 'Line Spacing' feature was dropped
from the normal right-click context menu. This regression needs to be fixed.

There was good design choice and reason for placement of 'Line Spacing' within
the right-click context menu. On IRC the developer suggestion was just
customize the context menu (either the wiki is wrong, or his knowledge of
context menus is on par with the intelligence that removed it) You cannot
modify the context menu (e.g. https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Customize)
Quoting:

"Customizes and saves current menu layouts as well as creates new menus. You
cannot customize context menus."

The original writer context menu was indispensable, well thought out, and
helped you get more work done with less clicks and keystrokes (that's what it
is ALL about). See the attached screenshot (linespacing_in_context_menu.png).
It also places at the mouse-pointer, immediate access to font, size, style and
alignment). The ham-fisted removal of these items removes critical
functionality that has been relied upon by users for years. The current context
menu is a joke. (see: attached no_linespacing_in_context_menu.jpg)

The problem with the changes to LO that effectively breaks 'efficient'
functionality is readily apparent. The developers involved in these decisions
have no practical experience in high-volume technical document production in
the real-world. As a 20 year lawyer, who works with highly technical document
formatting every day, I can tell you these changes make a huge difference. You
got it wrong with the context-menu removals, and that dramatically effects the
efficient operation of writer for the worse.

Instead of the things you most need being instantly available in the context
menu as they always have, not for every line-spacing, font, size, style change,
etc. you have to completely refocus from what you were doing, change your
perspective from the document to the menu or tool bar at the top of the
document and go pawing through mulit-level menus to do what used to be a simple
rt-click/done. That's the consideration, that's "Human Factors", that's 'what
the context menu changes destroys.

These changes may make your work-flow easier with the context menu, but it
sucks-rocks in the real world. Please restore the line-spacing, style, font and
size functionality to the rt-click context menu in writer. It it actually very
important to the real-world efficiency of writer.
