writer file with section including endnotes followed by index

This bug concerns a large file with endnotes and indices. The main text and
endnotes have been put into an initial section, so that the indices can follow.
The file takes a few minutes to load completely, but the load pointer allows
immediate editing. Meanwhile the page counter keeps adding pages until the
full count has been reached.
I think I began editing in the endnotes before the file was fully loaded. The
file then crashed. Recovery produced a file that started well, but after the
page counter added a page of two, the file crashed again. Now it is in an
endless cycle--upon loading, the file crashed within few seconds.

I have move the pointer to the top of the file, but the crashing just
continues.
I have attempted to select all and to transfer the clipboard to another file,
but the clipboard memory disappears just a soon as the file crashes.

How can I break the cycle? How do I check for a corrupt file? How can I
recover the original document?

Thanks for your help!

I have attached a copy of the file hoping that will help.
