which automatically becomes parallel to your stable one:

I downgraded to Version 4.4.2.2, because the issue slowed down my work (I do a
lot of moving around within spreadsheets). 

I will upgrade soon for the sake of trouble shooting, but it will have to wait
untill I have some work done. Not looking forward to do so.

Not seeing any of the problems mentioned. Only annoyance on Win is the
flickering of the UI.

Please copy and paste here the contents of your Help - About. This allows us to
know more about your system.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
