overwrite rather than insert the the user's digit(s).
retain the user's relationships.

Description:
the left, right, center, top, from top, bottom, page, paragraph etc. is not
always retained but changed unpredictably to a different way to achieve the
same result. i hope that what you are doing is not to replicate WORD's
treatment. thank you ken
