[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126755] [Font Features dialog]Show predefined OpenType tags
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126755 --- Comment #1 from Tobias Hemm --- Like the other bug reported by RGB, I can confirm this one as well. The Standard Ligatures (liga) are on by default if the font has some. But it cannot be turned off, since it is not shown as activated. The "kerning" feauture (Horizontal Kerning; "kern"), for example, is also activated by default. This is also not reflected by the checkbox in the font features dialogue. But it is shown in the "Position" tab ("Pair Kerning"). I am not sure, but I think this is the same function. Is that so? Maybe someone of you who can look "behind the scenes" can tell. If I turn off "Pair Kerning" and activate "Horizontal Kerning", I see no changes. So it could be the same function. If possible, I would remove it from the "Position" tab and show the activation in the font features. I don’t think it is directly related to the character spacing function, behin which it is posited at the momnent. Incidentally, "Pair Kerning" does not create a "suffix" after the font name (e.g. "Arial:kern"), "kern" does. I think it should be left out for every font feature, since it just distracts, looks odd, and can lengthen the font name a lot, for exeample if you have turned on 5 or 6 features. In Incscape and Scribus, for example, there is also no suffix. So there one could find inspiration for how to implement it. If I have to file an enhancement report for that, just tell me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
