The filter based import of PDF (by default to the Draw module) will convert to some semblance of the original layout, but does not render using embedded font subset. The replacement font can be pretty far off. Otherwise, the PDF pages inserted to document canvas are fully rendered. In the attached, each page of the PDF was extracted, and then inserted as an image to a Writer document.
