Open LibreOffice, go to Help - Restart in Safe Mode and choose form here Factory Reset and check that 2 options from there. LibreOffice will be like a new installation. And on every opening everything will be ok. The one where the bug appears is on a Microsoft Surface. For some reason, today, whilst opening an edited document (consisting of some tables and non-tables), some of the cells in the table treat the characters as normal.
