Could also imagine to just > keep the previous mode, as it seems to be the fact. => NAB as of c9 'Previous view' of a close document :-).. I'm convinced you didn't try out comment 0. Experience is different from putting it into words.. [You can setup VM to test; if you don't trust files from strangers] The world doesn't go under with current behaviour, and it's really specific point. However, this doesn't fit in my definition of polished. When I open multiple documents, I see the behaviour of all the documents as independent. The zoom factor behaviour is actually how page view behaviour should work too -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143847 --- Comment #12 from Telesto --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #11) > The last state should be restored. If DOCX doesn't store this option, the > default should be single page. +1 for NAB I'm really confused right now :-) I created the bug report because there is no single page by default. It simply inherits the view of previously opened DOCX/DOC file. Which results in kind of erratic behaviour. If you open a DOCX and set it to multipage view. Close it.. Open a different DOCX, it will go to multipage view.. simply because that was the last state.. So doesn't do what you say it should do (if I'm reading it correctly), but it's NAB at the same time? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143847 Telesto changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #10 from Telesto --- (In reply to Justin L from comment #9) > NOTABUG IMHO. Well surely not a bug at DOCX level (so from that perspective NOTABUG). What I had in mind was opening DOCX (likely DOCX/RTF too) in 'single page view' by default (so consistently)). So not inherent some other last accessed view - like multipage view - from a different document DOCX/DOC document. However no clue if this being technically possible without major effort (I suspect so, but I don't know). Its a UX question.. how this situation should be handled. So the fallback situation where the view is lacking. Putting back to UNCONFIRMED... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143847 --- Comment #9 from Justin L --- (In reply to Telesto from comment #8) > Is this possible with DOCX? No, AFAICS. In Word 2016 View tab you can chose "Multiple Pages". However, when I saved my DOCX (showing 3 pages across), then switched to one-page view and restarted Word without saving, the document opened in one page view. NOTABUG IMHO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
