This is not a bug. Citing Wikipedia [1]:

Go into  eg.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8169780/

Copy any table with p values into calc withou p values loosing "0.000###".

Options copy as textnumber/formula do nothing. 

Only work --> Paste Speical ---> Paste Special --> Unformatted text or imported
text. 

Maybe an enhancement to do that in a much fewer steps? (eg. Paste special -->
Unformatted text?) 

I think people that copy data tables in calc with such numbers will be many!
