Dear sasha.libreoffice,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 37511] copy-paste from Draw to Writer results appearing unexpected styles

2018-08-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37511

The 1st bug post used Draw.

I also tried this: File > New > Drawing, Insert > Text Box, typed some text,
selected text, copied text and pasted text in a new Writer document.

When copied to Writer, Styles looked ok in 6.1.0.3.

I should note, when I did the test in 6.0.6.2, the formatting appeared to be
copied too. For example, if the text was centered in Draw or Impress, it was
centered in Writer. This is not the case with 6.1.0.3, but the Styles are ok.

Created attachment 144099

screenshot of 6.0.6.2 (did not occur in 6.1.0.3)

This might be fixed in 6.1.0.3.

I also tried it in 6.0.6.2 and got the superfluous styles.

Steps in 6.1.0.3 and 6.0.6.2:

1. File > New > Presentation
2. Select a Template: Cancel
3. Write some text in Title textbox
4. Ctrl-a, Ctrl-c
5. File > New > Text Document
6. Ctrl-v
7. F11 to check styles

Environment: Linux Mint 17.3
LibreOffice deb's were downloaded from libreoffice.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 37511] copy-paste from Draw to Writer results appearing unexpected styles

2015-05-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37511

This bug is still present with LO 4.4.2.2 (Win 7).

It is worse than trivial because it causes much confusion as to which custom
styles can be safely deleted.

As well as affecting the copy of text from Draw -- Writer, it is also happens
with Writer -- Draw, in fact worse, because ALL the styles in the Writer
document get copied over to Draw, and they're of little use!

It would be tolerable if just the style associated with the specific text being
copied came over, but they ALL seem to get copied over.

Should I raise a separate bug report for the Writer -- Draw issue??

Regards, Allan

--- Comment #8 from Jean-Baptiste Faure jbfa...@libreoffice.org ---
Still there with LibreOffice 4.4.2.0.0+ built at home under Ubuntu 14.10
x86-64.

The thing that is difficult to understand for the user is that these styles are
not visible in Draw when you select the text.
Of course, if you paste without formatting, there is not additional styles.

According to comment #1, I changed version to inherited from OOo.
