I am trying to get connection to the IBM DB2 v9.7 Express-C database. Free to
download from: http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/download.html
I have installed DB2 database on my computer and created ODBC connection on
Windows.

1. Open LibreOffice.
2. Click on Database icon. Database Wizard opens.
3. "1. Select database" click on "Connect to an existing database".
4. Select ODBC from drop-down window.
5. Next button.
6. "2. Set up ODBC connection" in "Name of the ODBC data source on your system"
click Browse button and select ODBC connection.
7. Next button.
8. "3. Set up user authentication" in "User name" type in database username.
9. Click checkbox "Password required" and click on "Test Connection" button,
type in password and check if connection to database is OK.
10. Next button.
11. "4. Save and proceed" leave default options selected and click Finish
button.
12. "Save As" window opens type in test and click Save button.
13. LibreOffice Base program opens and in Tables window tables from database
are displayed.
14. Click on Queries icon from left Database section.
15. From Tasks section click on "Create Query in SQL View..."
16. New window "Query Design" opens. Type in SQL statement like: select * from
mytable
17. Click on Save button and let default name "Query 1" and just click on OK
button.
18. Close the Query Design window File | Close.
19. Main LibreOffice Base window is displayed. Double click on "Query 1"
Queries on Queries section.
20. "Table Data View" window is displayed. The content (columns, rows and data
from source database) is displayed.
21. In one of the character fields click with mouse and change the text and
press Enter.
Crash of LibreOffice Base appers with error: "Due to an unexpected error,
LibreOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved. The
next time LibreOffice is launched, your files will be recovered automatically.

Crash is repeatable every time. I don't know if this editing of remote database
is supported or not, but crash of LibreOffice should never appear.
I don't know if this is regression or not, because today I am using LibreOffice
Base for the first time.
