--- Comment #7 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk ---
We've had no response from the orignal poster since February 2013, and none of
us can reproduce it, so maybe we should close this report as invalid or WFM.

The Invalid cursor position error message has been seen in past versions of
ODBC/LO, and even with OOo, so the problem did probably exist at one point, it
is just that no one can reproduce it now.

@Robert:
please have a look on this thread. What is your opinion?

@Kirill:
First step: someone has to reproduce your problem. My task is to examine the
issuses. If possible I try to reproduce the problem. Robert is a specialist
concerning Base. Perhaps he has time to look on this thread.

Second step: a programmer find this thread respectively must have time to look
on this thread. Then he decides to work on the problem.

 database

Nobody else could use this database, because it is linked to an external
database. So I have tried the following steps with a MySQL-database and
ODBC-connection.

 1. Opening Libre Office Calc
 2. do File- New- Database
 3. choose to connect to an existing database (select ODBC)
 4. select the ODBC data source
 5. write the name of the user under which we connect and put a check
 password required
 6. make the connection test OK
 7. Register the database in Libre Office
 8. open Libre Office Calk
 9. View- Data Sources
 10. see there our database and tables in it but the data in the tables do
 not see

I could see the data in the tables of the connected database. In Base and also
in Calc with the database browser.
Do you see data in the table, if you connect with Base directly?
Does the odbc.ini and odbcinst.ini work with other connection?
