Open a.ods, open b.ods, click "yes" for update link See: works Close both, open b.ods, select yes for update links You observed an error, I do not. Assuming these steps are correct, marking as WFM as it seems like it is now resolved. Tested on: Ubuntu 13.10 LibreOffice 4.2.0.1 RC If this is still an issue for you with 4.2 when it is released, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED and detail the exact steps that you used.
