There do not seem to be any of the problems that I experienced using UBUNTU 12.10 whatsoever. After posting the initial bug report I installed version 3.6.5.2; there were no intermittent problems with that version. How ever I had a lot of intermittent problems with the screen blanking off when I pressed the left mouse button. I have only used version 4 a couple of time and so far I've had no problems.
