Following last Gulpen's feedback, let's put this one to WFM.

For any other related problem, please open a new bugtracker.

Thanks for checking. I'm now using Cinch version 1.1.2 (122), LibreOffice
4.2.1.1, and OSX 10.9.2 The thing is, (with this version?) Cinch becomes
automatically disabled when running LibreOffice. It reads: LibreOffice is on a
list of applications that don't work well with Cinch. To provide the best
experience, Cinch is ignoring this application to prevent any misbehavior.
Please contact support if you have any question. And I can't find a way to
force-enable Cinch so that I can test this bug again.

Since this has not been updated in a while and I'm working with 4.2.2.1 Calc on
OSX 10.9.2 and some window accessibility tool enabled without issues, does this
problem persist for the others affected? WIth / without Cinch?

I am also having problems with Writer continually crashing. If anything it
seems like the later version are actually worse. From doing a search on
writer crashes it seems there are a lot of people having problems with this
but with little results because these crashes seem to be so random. I've
experienced crashes over the wide range of scenarios that have been reported.
It might be pasting text, editing a table, exporting a PDF, saving a file or
whatever. Frankly this is becoming quite an issue for me. It is happening in
both Windows and Linux and doesn't matter if I have a clean profile or not.

There is one thing that I have noticed, though, that may help developers
pinpoint the problem. It seems to me that the issue may be in how Writer
dynamically re-formats the pages when they are being edited. I've noticed that
if I am having a lot of problems with a particular document I can do a Page
Formatting Update and then save the document. That seems to help for a little
while.

Hi Gilles,

 Hi, my problem seems to me very similar to the originaly reported bug
 (#63206): crash happenning erratically, quite often, but not reproducible.
 This is why i did not report it as a new bug. If you prefer i can report it
 as a new one.
 -Gilles

I would concur with Thorsten, open a new report and provide an Apple stack
trace report next time it crashes. The previous report showed up the
accessibility libraries as being used when the application crashed, however,
the cause might be different on OSX 10.5 with assistive device technology
switched off and a newer version of LO. In particular, we have seen some
crashes on 10.5 that may/may not be linked to the setting of a deployment
target version during build for versions greater than the initial 4.0 series.

 Thorsten: Gilles provided a new backtrace on 4.0.3 with:
 _new user profile tested (without success)
 _no OS accessibility/etc extension that i know (except 'remote login
 management')
 _no exotic control/window management apps that i know
 would you have some time to take a look?

Hmmm. Not sure I get all of it - so this is now a _new_ crash, unrelated to the
previously-discovered interaction with Cinch? If yes, maybe a new bug report
would be good, and a reproduction description.

Gilles: it could be very useful you provide a minimal step by step process to
reproduce the crash.

_no exotic control/window management apps that i know

Any idea?

Ok, my report:

Programs I use that potentially cause this:
-RightZoom
-Cinch
-Witch
-SmoothMouse

Disabling Enable support for assistive devices, which should disable all of
them, fixes the problem. So I enabled it again.

Enabling all four programs: Calc crashes frequently.

Disabling only smoothmouse: Calc crashes still.

Disabling: cinch and smoothmouse: Calc stops crashing.

That is, it seems like Cinch is the bad guy. Too bad, because I really like
using it.

I've enabled smoothmouse again just now, but I suspect that won't result in new
crashes.

Thanks again for the help.

Upon restoring and opening the file I could enter information in that cell.
Then I clicked on another cell, put the cursor in the formula bar, pressed
CMD+Right_arrow to put the cursor and the end, and by this time LibreOffice had
crashed again.

--- Comment #3 from Julien Nabet serval2...@yahoo.fr ---
in such cases, I quote Roman's questionnaire:

1) Do you have any accesibility features enabled? Apple’s accessibility
features like “VoiceOver” or “Enable access for assistive devices”, which get
enabled in “System Preferences Universal Access”, are known to cause many
crashes and freezes in LibreOffice. So please try to disable any accesibility
features, then check if the problem is still reproducible.

2) Do you have installed any window management/user interface
utilities/apps/control panels/extensions for Mac OS X like
   * AquaSnap* BetterSnapTool
   * BetterTouchTool * Breeze
   * Cinch   * Divvy
   * DoublePane  * Flexiglass
   * HyperDock   * iSnap
   * Moom* RightZoom
   * ShiftIt * SizeUp
   * SizeWell* Spectacle
   * Stay* TileWindows
   * WindowTidy... or something similar?

And/or do you use any mouse cursor/pointer utility, i.e. some little
application or control panel etc. which animates or replaces etc. the mouse
curser/pointer, like
   * LazyMouse?

And/or do you use any special software which could be related to accessibility
stuff, e.g. a screen reader, screen magnifier, speech recognition software,
a text-to-speech (dictation) application, or similar?

All these and many similar utilities rely heavily on Mac OS accessibility
features and therefore can cause LibreOffice to crash or freeze. So please
check if you have installed any utility of this kind and try to disable it
(or to add LibreOffice to the list of excluded applications for the utility,
if there is such a thing).

So please check these possibilities, if any of them helps to make the crash go
away, and report the results here.

and please, put debug info in a file and attach the file by using this link:
