Dear Ruslan Fatakhov,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Thanks for the feedback, I added it to bug 100961, and since this bug report
seems to be about a slightly different issue, I suggest using the other one if
you have any further comments in the future regarding the changing between
fixed/non-fixed dates.

I tried again with two new documents in .docx (WW 2017-2013 and Open XML). It
is was almost good, but French date month is converted to English :
"21 juillet 2016" come back to "21 July 2016" in "Date (fixed)".

For me it was fine with DOCX export, the date remained fixed both after
converting to DOCX, and then back to ODT. I used 5.1.4.2, which version did you
try it with?

It appears also with .docx. I don't tried others filters.

Someone reported an issue with fixed dates becoming just dates (bug 100961).
Based on your hint, I managed to reproduce it, as the bug only occurs when the
document is converted to DOC format. Thanks!

Also, adding keywords filter:doc and docx to this report, as it seems to
concern those filters.

After a question on French list, it appears in all LO versions, included 5.2.0
rc2, than the field "Date (fixed)" is converted in "date" when exported in .doc
or when imported from .doc. Among all fields date in MS WW, it seems better to
convert "Date (fixed)" in "createdate" and "createdate" in "Date (fixed)" which
is used in models. What to do with other date fields in MS WW

To test, create a document with two fields date : one "Date" and other "Date
(fixed)". Export in ".doc". When opening with LO, all fields are "Date". What
happens with MS WW ? Where is the bug : in export or import ?

Timur changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Summary|FORMATTING: CreateDate not |FORMATTING: Custom
   |saved in .DOC |CreateDate saved in .DOC as
   ||General instead of Date

Revisiting this:
- it's not that CreateDate is not saved in .DOC, rather it's saved as General
type field instead of Date, and it can be converted via editing field (but it
won't be saved)
- why would you use custom CreateDate field when there's normal
Insert-Fields-DocInformation-Created-Date field that works?
- CreateDate field from DOC created in Word is retained in DOC by LO.

So, I suggest this be closed.
