It is an essential part of LibreOffice that the modules work integrated. I.e.: one does not have to start Calc in order to start or open a spreadsheet: you can do that while working in any file. In the same line, users will expect that they may open recent Writer documents, while working in Calc. Etc. So I think this intentional behaviour really will not be changed.
