--- Comment #22 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu)
 ---
One main issue that was discussed (e.g. comment 5) was the inability to change
the paper size to A4 when printing a two-A5-page document on a single sheet.
I can reproduce that issue in 6.0, but the issue was resolved at some stage as
I can print these two A5 pages on a single A4 page in 7.0 as well as well as in
a recent master build:

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: b10417eb1e5a4a6959e7fc1cdd9819e5b09d39a4
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Another issue that might have come up here is the inability to print two copies
of a single page on the same sheet. The workaround is to print pages 1,1. The
issue is already tracked in bug 45701.

For the rest, there isn't enough information to understand what exactly the
issues were, and the succession of comments is very confusing so adding to this
report won't be helpful.

I am closing as "works for me" for the first issue described above. If other
issues remain in currently supported versions, please open other focused
reports, one per issue, with clear description and steps to reproduce.

Dear Markus Elfring,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

* Linux 4.11.1

* CUPS 2.2.3-214.3
* Kyocera P6021cdn (KPDL)

I duplicated the page from my test document. Now it is possible to get two
small pages on a single A4 page printed. But I find the text positions wrong
for the output from the second page in such a test case (while the print
preview looked so promising in the dialogue “Printing” after the selection of
the layout “2 pages per sheet”).

I would like to know also if a single small page from an example document could
be automatically duplicated on the chosen bigger page format (without immediate
form feeds).

I can open the dialogue "Properties of …" (from the dialogue "Printing") as
usual.
Now I wonder about the detail that the fields "Paper size" and "Orientation"
seem to be greyed out while the size "A5" is displayed there. I would
appreciate to switch to the standard size "A4" somehow.

Under which circumstances should the combination of smaller pages on a bigger

I've got the same problem.

Create a A5-Document, choose print - page layout - 2 pages per sheet. LO tries
to print two pages on one A5-page, even if printer settings say, page size is
A4.
(Tested with different printers, with LO 4.4.5.)

Worked correctly (2 A5-pages on 1 A4-page) in previous versions and still works
in AOO 4.1.1.

Would be nice if it could be fixed. Thanks for your good work!

My printer has changed in the meantime. So I can give further feedback for the
initial print task at least.

I have specified to print three A5 pages with the device Kyocera P6021cdn in
a Windows 7 session by the program LibreOffice Writer 4.4.4.3 with the setup
option two pages per sheet a moment ago.
I expected that a single sheet of paper would be presented with text on both
sides. But I got three A4 sheets.
