Hi Elrico,

thanks for reporting your problems. I do not recognise those, that also seem
related to your OS/behaviour. I think that the best is to start with support
for users, to help you get out of that situation.
There are many places to get that support, listed from here:
http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help

Additional comment:  The main frame for Libre Write is also behaving awkwardly.
 Currently have it in non-maximized form, but the upper part of the frame is
above the top of the display and cannot click and drag the frame.

Frame is also off the bottom of the display, so I cannot read the information
on the bottom line of the frame.
