Dear vgoebbel,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Any chance this might get resolved or I can help in any way?

I'm using 5.1.2.2 on OS X 10.11.4 and it is still the same. I know this doesn't
sound too bad but I think the problem is so obvious that it shouldn't be that
hard to fix. Also I have a 300 page document and would prefer not to check
every single page if there is a relative reference to a paragraph that is on
the same page…

Hello vgoebbel

When i tested the example document, the cross reference linked to the beginning
of 'Paragraph Two'. Is this the correct behaviour you're looking for?

Which version of LibreOffice did you test this on?

Hello Jay,

thanks for your reply. I can't remember the version I originally did this on.
However, I just opened it with 4.3.0.1 and the problem is the same:

The cross reference links to the beginning of 'Paragraph Two', which is
correct.

There is however a footnote that is set to have an output of 'below' or 'above'
regarding the beginning of 'Paragraph Two'.

The current output is 'above' because Paragraph Two is above the text within
the footnote itself. But with footnotes the reference 'above' or 'below' should
be relative to the corresponding upper number (e.g. ¹) within the main text,
not relative to the text within the footnote. Therefore the correct output in
the footnote of the attached file should be 'below'. (Since 'Paragraph Two' is
below the ¹ within the main text).

English is not my first language, so I hope I made myself clear… Feel free to
ask any questions!

(In reply to comment #1)

I'm setting this to NEW as you state that the behaviour i'm seeing is incorrect
and i've confirmed this behaviour is there also in 3.3 on Linux.

@Alex, @Foss: Is this the wrong behaviour?
