With 4.2.5.2, I no longer get a window, but I can directly edit the field by clicking once within it. Additionally, a small onscreen popup appears if I hove the mouse over the field, telling me what I should put in. By all means, please open up a new bug report with regard to being unable to create new Input fields in an existing document, I don't know whether this was considered when the work was done to change the behaviour, or whether that is indeed a bug. In theory, loss of functionality over existing previous functionality is a bug, at least might be considered a regression. Please open up a new bug report for that. Installed a fresh copy of LO 4.3. Checked what happens with my documents and with Input-Field. All is working as wanted. Different, but working. Okay! Creating a new document on the Template, works as expected. All Dialogs come up as mentioned, and I can edit the Text-ImputFields within an Dialog. Open a saved document, based on that Template, then the described behavior occurred. I can't edit the Fields, based on an Text-InputField. And the references to the used Var's are missing/not found.
