I can read, PDF Import is no longer bundled extension but core feature.

So, I did a fresh and standard install of all 4.x versions,

LibreOffice Draw 4.0.6.2 OK
LibreOffice Draw 4.1.6.2 OK
LibreOffice Draw 4.2.8.2 OK
LibreOffice Draw 4.3.5.2/4.3.6.2 xpdfimport.exe crashes
LibreOffice Draw 4.4.0.3/4.4.1.1 xpdfimport.exe crashes

xpdfimport.exe crashes with all PDF files.
xpdfimport.exe crashed with a large file (GS42-GettingStartedLO.pdf) like a
small file (one blank page LibreOffice Writer PDF Export).

I'm not an expert but coincidentally,

I can read some improvements to PDF Import. Maybe the problem ?

Or my old Windows XP SP3, AMD processor only MMX/3DNow/SSE ?

Hi Stuart,

I did.

For 4.0.x version I upgrade,
For 4.x.0 version I do a fresh install.

1. Uninstall the program
2. Removing the installation folder (C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4)
3. Removing the profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Régis\Application
Data\LibreOffice)
4. A pass of CCleaner

LibreOffice Draw 4.2.8.2 OK
LibreOffice Draw 4.3.5.2 xpdfimport.exe crashes
LibreOffice Draw 4.4.0.3 xpdfimport.exe crashes with new error message

General error.
General input/output error.

screen clip of large PDF (LO getting started)

@Régis,

This is troubling.  As in the attached screen clip of a 4.4.0.3 build (en-US),
have no issue with import opening of very large PDF into a Draw session. Note
it was opened not inserted.

Would you please go ahead and try a /A administrative installation in parallel
and test if you are able to open PDF with that.

Also, to allow us to check--could you post up a small PDF you are working with
that is not opening for you.

The PDF import filter has been trouble free for all of the 4.3 and 4.4 and now
with master builds. Unlikely that with a correct installation and a troublefree
user profile issues would be affecting you as just one user.

So, if you would please check two things:

1.) clear you user profile, it will be regenerated on next launch of 4.3.5, and
check your ability to import filter Open a PDF in Draw.

2.) perform a /A administrative installation in parallel, perhaps the just
released 4.3.6.2, or 4.4.0.3 build and test if you are able to import open a
PDF into Draw with one of these isolated installations.
