"Link" option under Insert>Object>OLE Object is ignored if the file is saved as
FODT, but is honoured if the file is saved as ODT.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in

According to comment #6 this also happens on Windows, so setting OS to all

Tried to replicate on LO 3.3, but it says JRE is required to save as fodt and I
get an error message, so someone with Linux should test that

Responding to Comment 7, asking for confirmation that bug is still present on
most recent version of LO.

I can confirm that this behaviour is unchanged on LO 6.0.1.1 (Build ID
60bfb1526849283ce2491346ed2aa51c465abfe6). "Link" option under
Insert>Object>OLE Object is ignored if the file is saved as FODT, but is
honoured if the file is saved as ODT.

Tested under MacOS 10.11.6.

Responding to Comment 5, asking for confirmation that bug is still present on
most recent version of LO.

I can confirm that this behaviour is unchanged on LO 5.2.0.0.alpha1. "Link"
option under Insert>Object>OLE Object is ignored if the file is saved as FODT,

Tested under Linux Mint 17.1 xfce.
