I believe 1. is a real problem and it happens in the toolbar as well and it was
one of the things i planned to file a bug report about.

There should be a sufficient amount of space between the mouse cursor and the
tooltip and when the tooltip appears below the cursor, the bottom of the cursor
should be the starting position of the distance.

I guess its up to the OS how to handle tooltips. And tweaking this (with high
effort) results often in major usability flaws.

I think so because the tooltip also appears with a small part over the mouse
cursor which often results on mouse moving that the tooltip gets replaced
consecutively a few times.

Reproduced 1. and 2. on Windows.

Very minor glitches that might stem from the operating system level. Is 1. even
a real problem?

Giving this to the design team to mull over and decide, whether we're seeing
any actual problems.
