[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92778] EPS images stop rendering after short period of time
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92778 --- Comment #14 from QA Administrators --- Dear Chris Cameron, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92778 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #9 from V Stuart Foote --- Can not confirm with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and Version: 5.0.2.1 (x64) Build ID: 9a18d52abbdfbdc2ac9acebec2b92e7859eb73b7 Locale: en-US (en_US) Was able to insert a dozen copies of attachment 117268 and scale rotate and arrange them repeatedly, no loss of rendering the EPS with convert/gswin64c preview. (In reply to Beluga from comment #5) > For some reason my Windows refuses to render the EPS.. it just shows the > file information in a box: > Title: xeq1.dvi > Creator: dvipsk 5.66a > Creationdate: 1991 Aug 15 > @Beluga, * On Windows and OS X you need to install ghostscript, and Imagemagick (for its convert program). And optionally pstoedit for EMF/WMF vector handling. Ghostscript is normally present on Linux builds, and Imagemagick is common there as well. Not so on Windows nor on OS X. Also when setting up for EPS on Windows, you do need to modify PATH environment. On OS X the ghostscript build may require X11 (XQuartz) to be present. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92778 --- Comment #8 from Alex Thurgood --- An extra issue is that redraw display corruption occurs if there is only one paragraph in the Writer document. This can be worked around by scrolling down the page or resizing the Writer window. Still, very unprofessional from a UI perspective. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92778 --- Comment #3 from Chris Cameron --- To better describe how I'm recreating this: 1. Open new document 2. Insert -> Image 3. Select .eps file 4. Resize and place on right side of page 5. Repeat steps #2 and 3 6. Move first image to lower left, resize and move new image to right side of page etc. I just insert, resize, move, and delete in order to cycle the images in a 4x4 square. So at no point do I have more than 4 images in the document. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
