https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93137 --- Comment #7 from Kumāra--- (In reply to kie000 from comment #6) > the code has been improved a lot in 5.x, 4 was a crashy mess > and losing work due to recovery not working can indeed be very frustrating. Yes, I hate it when that happens to. Good thing I have a pretty solid backup solution, AND developed a habit of hitting Ctrl-s very often! Good to know 5.x works well for you. I've not upgraded yet, and would like to know the same as PMouse: For the new version, should LO be suddenly terminated, does the document recovery work properly? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93137 --- Comment #5 from Kumāra--- (In reply to kie000 from comment #0) > Do you have a room with an infinite number of monkeys in writing LibreOffice > code? It's so bad it boggles the mind. While I can empathize with your frustration, kie000, I can assure you that a comment as the above is likely to put off the coders, who aren't paid for this. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93137 --- Comment #6 from kie...@gmail.com --- @ Kumāra Fair enough, the code has been improved a lot in 5.x, 4 was a crashy mess and losing work due to recovery not working can indeed be very frustrating. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When it fails, the recovery program looks for the file ending ".odt_0.odt", but what exists in the backup folder ends with ".odt_1.odt". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93137 --- Comment #3 from PMouse porcelain_mo...@vfemail.net --- Libreoffice didn't crash, though; it was my computer. Since recovery used to work fine, but is now broken, I don't expect upgrading to help. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93137 --- Comment #1 from PMouse porcelain_mo...@vfemail.net --- This has been going on for me since v4, I think, too.
