Hi, here's one more comment:

the problem with the bugged text appears RANDOMLY on my system - on and off
without ANY changes made either to the LO settings nor to the OS fonts.
(I have attached two screenshots from two consecutive days - no changes made).

FYI I have never touched the system font, and have also 'flushed the font
buffer' as recommended. With no effect...

The possibility to use a non-system font for the UI was apparently removed as
described in bug #87016. It seems that ut did not work as intended anyway.

I don't think we want to add (back) ways to fix random self-inflicted problems
on the user system. The less variation in how LibreOffice uses the system, the
better.

If I resolve this as WONTFINX or NOTABUG, will it be REOPENed? In that case I
won't bother. (Not that it would have any effect anyway, I still won't work on
this.)
