Ok, so did you use an older Windows when LibreOffice was crashing?

No crash with Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+

I can play wmv video in presentation. I can insert but not play mp4 video,
probably I have not codecs installed.

For me not reproducible with LO 5.0.3.2, Win 8.1.

Both file types can be inserted and will be played as expected.

Set to NEEDINFO.
