[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96200] Resizing non-empty window on multihead/nvidia crashes X server
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96200 --- Comment #7 from kylm...@gmail.com --- I did a few research on my free time... Downgrading the nvidia-driver to 352.55 does not change the problem. Downgrading LO to 4.4.5.2, contrary to what I wrote in my first post, does not change the problem - which is *really weird* since I've used 4.4.5.2 for some time without any trouble before last upgrade to LO 5. This leads me to think an underliying library has been upgraded somewhere and this triggers the bug. For some time (yesterday), changing OpenGL interface to use the X11 one instead of the NVidia (Gentoo's command eselect opengl) one solved the problem. Maybe the bug does not triggers on sundays :-) I'm trying to pinpoint which underlying stuff ould be responsible. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96200] Resizing non-empty window on multihead/nvidia crashes X server
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96200 --- Comment #3 from kylm...@gmail.com --- Well, getting a backtrace is tricky. If everything is run on the same machine (X server and LO), the X server crash prevents getting any kind of trace (LO/gdb killed instantly). So I ran LO on a (single-headed) system with remote display on the multi-head system. Got a crash, but the gdbtrace does not seem very useful (see above). What I get are messages in the X server log : With a remote session : [ 77499.917] (EE) Backtrace: [ 77500.053] (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x56) [0x58f646] [ 77500.053] (EE) 1: /usr/bin/X (0x40+0x1936b9) [0x5936b9] [ 77500.053] (EE) 2: /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x7efccbffe000+0x33230) [0x7efccc031230] [ 77500.053] (EE) 3: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so (0x7efcc793e000+0xc4263) [0x7efcc7a02263] [ 77500.053] (EE) 4: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so (0x7efcc793e000+0x58dfb6) [0x7efcc7ecbfb6] [ 77500.053] (EE) [ 77500.054] (EE) Floating point exception at address 0x7efcc7a02263 Or, with a local session : [ 79855.401] (EE) Backtrace: [ 79855.401] (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x56) [0x58f646] [ 79855.401] (EE) 1: /usr/bin/X (0x40+0x1936b9) [0x5936b9] [ 79855.401] (EE) 2: /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x7fbdb620b000+0x33230) [0x7fbdb623e230] [ 79855.401] (EE) 3: /usr/bin/X (xf86Wakeup+0x123) [0x475fa3] [ 79855.401] (EE) 4: /usr/bin/X (WakeupHandler+0x6b) [0x43bc5b] [ 79855.401] (EE) 5: /usr/bin/X (WaitForSomething+0x1c3) [0x58cc83] [ 79855.401] (EE) 6: /usr/bin/X (0x40+0x36e11) [0x436e11] [ 79855.401] (EE) 7: /usr/bin/X (0x40+0x3b116) [0x43b116] [ 79855.402] (EE) 8: /lib64/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf5) [0x7fbdb622b855] [ 79855.402] (EE) 9: /usr/bin/X (_start+0x29) [0x425629] [ 79855.402] (EE) [ 79855.402] (EE) Segmentation fault at address 0x38 There may be have some weird interaction between LO and Nvidia. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
