https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96225 --- Comment #17 from QA Administrators --- Dear GUTH Christophe, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! I've opened it under OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x86_64 in read only mode with LibreOffice 5.0.2.2. I tried to modify a text in a table (page 7, the text "Travaux"). The letter "é" is bloqued but i can confirm that the keys "2" "4" "6" and "8" on the numeric keypad, the keys "2" (shift+"é"), "4" (shift+"'"), "6" (shift+"-"), "8" (shift +"_") on the alphabetic part of the keyboard are not bloqued properly (on a french keyboard too). I've done the same test under Windows 7 with LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 and the keys "2","4","6","8" on the alpabetic part of the keyboard are not bloqued too. Opening the document in Read Only mode does not > allow to type any character. Not even é. In fact, the issue is : when the ppt is open in readonly mode, the letter "é" (on french keyboard) can change a text in the document, but the document itself stay in read-only (as you can see it in attachments) Other accented letters on french beyboard are bloqued as expected in read-only mode. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I've tried it. The only way to enter this char (while the document is in read-only mode) is to use the key "é" on a french keyboard. Pasting it won't change the document. Using ALT+0233 don't change the document too. My PPT was saved on the root (C:\Modele ppt conseil.pptx) (probably the reason for the read-only mode when opened). I guess that the key code was forgot somewhere. All other french accented characters (like "è" "ç" "à") on a french keyboard are bloqued as expected, except "é". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This needs to be tested by someone with a French keyboard. Please ignore Comment #5 since the Portuguese keyboard does NOT have an "é" key. The "é" character is created by pressing the acute accent key and then the E key, which is not the same. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

However, this can do only into a table and cannot be saved. So, this make a displaying anomaly and a read-only defect.
