https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89607 A (Andy) stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de --- Comment #3 from A (Andy) stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de --- Reproducible with LO 4.4.0.3, Win 8.1 It sounds reasonable that if you change/edit the Indexes and Tables that the title of the corresponding dialogue box does not show again Insert. But I don't know if there are maybe any reasons for this? Maybe, Insert is not at all necessary? If you insert for instance Fields (INSERT - FIELDS - MORE FIELDS) or Hyperlinks (INSERT - HYPERLINK) then you have also no naming with Insert. But you can also edit these fields and in case of Fields the context menu shows Fields and title of the dialogue box shows Edit Fields and in case of Hyperlinks the context menu shows Edit Hyperlink and the title of the dialogue box shows only Hyperlink. @Cor: Would you be against a confirmation of this enhancement proposal? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Also, if the CALC .ods version of the spreadsheet is subsequently re-saved as .xls, ALL the original Excel hyperlinks are lost i.e. no going back. The above observation refers to cells containing a numeric value or formula. I have many sheets containing hyperlinked prices which I'm trying to migrate to LO CALC, and this problem makes it unacceptably risky. Text hyperlinks seem ok although the CALC hyperlink formatting of them is lost when saved back as .xls. The spreadsheet examples attached illustrate the problems: 1) Price_Test.xlsThe original Excel .xls spreadsheet with hyperlinked price and text cells 2) Price_Test.xls.odsThe .xls spreadsheet opened in CALC, cells added and saved as .ods 3) Price_Test.xls.ods.xlsThe .xls.ods spreadsheet re-saved from CALC as .xls, then opened in Excel NOTE: I originally raised enhancement request bug 89572 to improve the editing of cells containing hyperlinked values, before I realised the significance of the Excel hyperlinks actually vanishing. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87695 --- Comment #14 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #13) I agree with *1-4 but *5, split button, might be confusing since it works as Accept/Reject (selected) by default. The function would be the same as for the split option if all items are selected Without the split button, a user would have to right-click, click select all, then click the accept all button. This is with the assumption that they already know that their is right-click context menu. Having it as a split button, just gives users another means of achieving the same thing and is easily noticeable. Split buttons are good for clear alternatives but with a default in more than 80% (arbitrary number taken from the pareto rule). And I'd say Accept/Accept All has a 50/50 distribution. There are normally two types of split buttons and one of them is to provide additional options of the same function that is put as the main button of the split button. An example of this is the paste button, where the drop down gives more options of pasting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

(In reply to Jay Philips from comment #0) If you open up the TOC dialog and you click on and off of the preview checkbox, the entire dialogs contents is being shifted Previews and other content are usually on the left because we reserve the right side for settings which modify that content. This is the same reason why the Sidebar is on the right (cf. bug 83026), and this is also why the Print dialog’s preview is on the left. This would also make it consistent with previews features found insert image dialogs. Those dialogs are from the system, not from LibreOffice. We don’t have to try and follow those all the time. It happens often on large pictures (ie. 2000x2000 pixels). When it began, it was very annoying with a complex draw with severals items as it always moved objects when selecting and destroy the composition. What is your 'reference version' Sorry, I don't know, it was about a year ago. I don't know if this is a blocker category generally, but for sure is a blocker if someone is programming in LibreOffice BASIC. It does not block me, but if you're doing piles of just rough stuff that has lots of errors, it will be annoying indeed.. OK, maybe I was unclear in my bug repport, sorry. You don't need a lots of errors, just one. As I said, if I save (or autosave starts) in the middle of coding, when I just didn't finish all the structures (or if I forgot something as simple as End If), my whole work is lost (since the last successful save), no way to save it, no way to copy it somwhere else, nothing. Recovery after that won't work because saving recovery copy triggers the same behaviour. I'm really not a sloppy programmer, I'm using Calc and its BASIC for work at faculty for 6-7 years, I even contributed to Andrew Pitonyak's macro collection. I just don't understand the logic behind BASIC check while saving. If I'm in the middle of writing some code, when it is still unfinished, it MUST contain syntax errors, until all the structures are written. My instinct is to save often, even unfinished code, and I don't expect that saving my code trigers behaviour that effectively destroys it. The main problem is that BASIC syntax error dialog keeps poping up endlessly. It would be OK if LO just checks once, lets me know that there were errors, and saves the current work. I hope that I have explained the problem more accurately. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

It appears spaces are used to help format the text and LibreOffice Writer doesn't display this text properly. Expected results: Writer display the text the same as MS Word 2007. Actual results: Writer displays the text in a misformatted fashion. Attached are screen shots of MS Word 2007 and LibreOffice 4.4.0 on Windows XP displaying the same document. Note: When I first loaded the document in Writer, some of the text didn't appear at all and there were blank gaps embedded in the text.
