https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106028 Bug ID: 106028 Summary: Different keyboard shortcuts to duplicate an object per Module Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: l...@altsys.de To easily create a copy of a draw object, (at least on MaxOS) you can use the mouse and do a cmd-drag to get a duplicate. This works fine in draw. In Writer, to get the same you have to shift-alt-drag instead. This should be consistent in all modules. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105712 --- Comment #21 from Caolán McNamara--- There is a buggy inconsistency in the accessibility of that special character widget, it claims to have one child if there is no scrollbar, but if you request the accessibility context of child index 0 then it throws that its an invalid index which is nonsense. Have system setup with at least two monitors so presentation mode will be used. 1. Open attached document. The document contains a text box with the contents "0xdeadbeef". This box has a "Arc down" motion path animation on it. 2. Enter slideshow mode with "presenter console" enabled and in fullscreen mode. Note that in `Slide Show > Slide Show Settings` under Multiple Displays, `Presentation Display` must be set to a single display and not `All Displays`. # What I expect to happen In fullscreen slideshow mode with presenter mode on with two displays I expect the motion path animation to be visible with I "click". # What I observe In fullscreen slideshow mode with presenter mode on when I "click" the motion path does not display. What I observe is the slide staying the same (i.e. the text box doesn't move) for the duration of the animation and then the text box moves to its final destination abruptly after a few seconds. # Workarounds The following seem to work * Disable "presenter console" by unchecking the `Enable Presenter Console` checkbox in `Tools > Options > LibreOffice Impress > General`. * Using `All Displays` as the `Presentation Display`. This seems to cause LibreOffice Impress to place the presentation half on one display and half on the other. * Don't use fullscreen mode and instead set presentation mode to `In a Window` (see `Slide Show > Slide Show Settings`). All of the three workarounds above just stop the `Enable Presenter Console` from being used. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105689 --- Comment #13 from LibreTraining--- (In reply to dieterp from comment #12) > I'm using Windows 10 Home / Version 1607 (I suppose, that this is the > Anniversary Edition you mentioned) / Build 14393.693 > As far as I can see, EmojiOne Color font is also installed. Hmmm ... that is not good. The MS developer doc I was looking at was: What's New in Windows version 1607 You can look at a browser test page to see that the font is working. Note: this does not test the operating system support, just that the font is installed and working properly. The following browser test page works in: - Firefox (I tested, works fine) - Edge (supposedly, did not test) - Chrome does NOT work. EmojiOne Demo page (requires the font installed on your system) http://eosrei.github.io/emojione-color-font/full-demo.html If the font is installed and the browser supports OpenType SVG fonts, you will see many full color emojis. If the browser does not support OpenType SVG fonts, you will only see gray outlines of the emojis. If the browser test works in Firefox or Edge then the font appears to be installed and working properly, and if your LibreOffice Emojis on your Windows 10 does NOT work, then that appears to be a LO bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106035] New: Contextual Group Toolbar
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106035 Bug ID: 106035 Summary: Contextual Group Toolbar Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: kain...@gmail.com Hi, I like the proposal of the Notebook toolbars in general I'm a big fan of the contextual grouped toolbar. So I make a mockup for Writer. https://share.kde.org/index.php/s/6WvxNoLux5K1IHB 1. My idea is that the contextual groups are grouped according to the menu bar. Why? Because you use a menu bar when you have a lot of features and you didn't have enough space in the toolbar(s). Good example Kate file editor didn't have a toolbar only a menu bar because ordinary you want to write a text file and when you need an action it's a feature you didn't have on the toolbar. Because the LibreOffice users know where the actions are located in the menu bar. Add a new structure with grouped toolbars and hidden actions somewhere (like MS do) would solve at least problems for new users but not for existing ones. Because when the group is called like the menu I can click on the group name and the menu bar entry pop up it's really easy to explain new and existing users. 2. Always same layout for each group I know I like grids but one of the thing I didn't like in MS Word and the existing Writer examples are that you mix between two and three rows. So my proposal is ONE big icon at the beginning of each subgroup and than always 3 rows if there are no 3 actions available than it will also anchor according the grid. 3. Small toolbar mode I also have an example of a small toolbar mode according to the same idea. You can see the small toolbar at the bottom of the picture. It will start with the name of the menu bar and than some important actions. Here also the group name is the menu toolbar drop down menu where you get all actions. Problem of this the small toolbar layout is that you can't add the action name behind the action icon cause names are for the groups. I'll prepare the .ui file for the contextual grouped toolbar and hope I get feedback if it's a good idea AND how I can add the drop down menu instead ONLY the group name. cheers Andreas_k -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106034] New: Printer' s layout settings incorrectly applied before printing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106034 Bug ID: 106034 Summary: Printer's layout settings incorrectly applied before printing Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Printing and PDF export Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu Created attachment 131262 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=131262=edit Document: portrait, page: landscape In File -> Print dialog selecting the printer and clicking Properties..., then changing layout (orientation, page size) applies the setting incorrectly: the page layout is updated, but the document layout isn't updated accordingly (see attachment). This happens in 5.3.0.3, and already in 3.3.0 / Windows 7. Note: for this "Use only paper size from printer preferences" on Options tab has to be ticked. Main question, to the UX guys: what should actually happen? My initial thought was that the straightforward way would be if the printer setting only applied a rotation and/or resizing, without actually changing the layout of the document. I print very rarely, so I'm not sure what happens if your printer can handle both landscape- and portrait-fed paper of a size, and you want to switch between those. It might not be very relevant... What I experienced so far suggests that the setting is supposed to adjust the document layout for printing. WordPad does so. Writer, if the mentioned "Use only paper size from printer preferences" is set, tries to do it, though fails halfway: changes the page orientation, but imposes the old layout on it, which is then cut. Interestingly, Word disregards the setting in the printer configuration: it has its own settings right below, which allows to adjust them right before printing, also updating the layout. I can establish that the current behavior is wrong, but how could the setting be made more user friendly? Would fixing the bug reported here be enough? The setting to use printer preferences could be moved to the first tab, there's a report for that already, bug 94343. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105689 --- Comment #11 from LibreTraining--- What version of Windows 10 are you using? Supposedly the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition added support for OpenType SVG fonts. While working on my LibreOffice Fonts Guide I have been looking at this to how to use the EmojiOne Color font. For this experimental feature to work in LibreOffice requires two things: - the EmojiOne Color font must be installed - operating system must support OpenType SVG fonts Operating Systems support for OpenType SVG fonts: - Ubuntu 14.02 and 16.04 - both support - Windows 7 - does NOT support - Windows 10 (Anniversary Edition) - does support (according to MS developer docs) - Mac OS 1.7 - dunno, don't think so, did not find much I tested on Windows 7 by adding a custom toolbar called Emoji, and then added the Emoji control to that toolbar. Easy to enable/disable the toolbar. On Windows 7 the Emoji dialog in LibreOffice just shows a gray version of the emoji, and the same thing appears when inserted in a document. So on Windows 7 this feature in never going to work. MS is not going to add OpenType SVG font support to Win7. Windows 10 Anniversary Edition should be working from what my research shows. If not, then that may be a bug. Ubuntu 14/16 appears to support OpenType SVG fonts so this feature should be working for those LO users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106030 Bug ID: 106030 Summary: FORMATTING/VIEWING: Rotating of the cell text is done by text direction only, while letters are not rotated together with the text. Therefore, I rotate some cell text used as column header at 90 degrees. The behavior in MS Excel is what I am expected, but in LibreOffice Calc it is different. Calc rotates only the direction of text content of the cell, but the letters are not rotated and overlap each other. See the attached pictures. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put some text in a cell. 2. Select menu "Format" -> "Cells ..." 3. Rotate to some angle (for ex. 45 degrees). Actual Results: Text direction of the text is rotated at specified angle but the letters are not. Expected Results: The whole text is rotates like picture. See the attached pictures. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes. Resetting the profile did not solve the issue. However, starting in safe mode works as I expected (no problems in safe mode). Additional Info: The version tested is LibreOffice 5.3.0.3 Portable. Restarted Calc in Safe Mode. The ISSUE WAS SOLVED! Then I reset the user profile as recommended and restarted Calc. The problem appears again. After another test in safe mode and a new user profile reset the issue still happens. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105992] FORMATTING: Writer doesn' t use kerning information of Times New Roman anymore
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105992 --- Comment #3 from tob...@schula.org --- The fonts described in the article are the fonts I installed. The most current files for Linux users are the ones Microsoft provided in the "Core Fonts for the Web" and are from the year 2000. The Liberation and Croscore fonts, which are metrically compatible, still work like they should. But once the user installs the core fonts (a lot of packages on Linux have them as requirement) the layout in a lot of documents will be broken. This is a huge interoperability issue, since these are the newest fonts the average Linux user gets. Documents with Times and Arial are still very common when sharing with others or when the user needs to edit old documents. As far as I know the new layout engine is based on the one the Linux builds have since 4.1, so there shouldn't be a change in behavior. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105594 --- Comment #14 from Ron--- Created attachment 131251 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=131251=edit Adding a field to a form LibreOffice Base using versions 5.3.0.3 or 5.2.5.1 Based on some of the comments I may not have explained the problem clear enough. There was some mention of adding buttons to a form but that is not what I am referring to. As mentioned in my original comment, it has to do with adding a FIELD to an existing form. The field is added using the Form Design Toolbar icon number 6. Using this icon places the field on the form with a white background and no border. In Base 5.3.0.3 using the Control Properties Text Box, the options to change the Background color and Border color were missing. Not so in version 5.2.5.1 The reason for changing the background color is to match the existing fields. Need additional clarification please let me know.
