[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115649] 64-bit Writer v.6.0.1.1 crashes every time I send a file to network printer after clicking OK to print (ucrtbase.dll)

- I tried to disable the option "Load printer settings with the document" with
no effect on Writer v.6.0.1.1 x64 (tools > options > Load/Save > General > Load
printer settings with the document). Crash at print on network printer still
happen.

- I installed the newer version LibreOffice v.6.0.2.1 x64. Crash still happen.

- I checked and I see I have installed multiple versions of Microsoft Visual
C++ Redistributable, 2008, 2010, with the most recent being 2015 14.0.24215.

- Tried to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) -
14.0.24123 Update 3 RC" but install failed because it says I have already a
newer version.

- I installed the newest version "Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable
(x64) - 14.12.25810" and test print again: crash still happen no matter what
settings I try.

- I checked Bug 42673 and I have indeed several offline network printers on my
Windows Devices and Printers. But my LibreOffice doesn't hang at all, only at
print it crashes. I removed these offline printers and tried again, but crash
after print still happen every time on Writer v.6.0.2.1 x64.

After checking, I confirm that a lock file is definitely created with 5.4.

Regarding reproducing the bug, the simplest way may be to create you a VPN
access to a specific test folder on our file server. I'll ask our sys admin,
but will be able to do so only tomorrow.

First thing, could you clean your Windows registry with a free Windows registry
cleaner? (eg: Glary utilities, there's also ccleaner but some versions of it
were corrupted).
Indeed, if it's linked to ucrtbase.dll, perhaps there are pb of multiple
referenced versions in Win registry.

Also, reading

would it be possible you uninstall and reinstall last printer driver?

The bug is listed under Linux.
I am using Debian Jessie (8.10) for the desktop currently.

Testing with libreoffice version 6 will take some time, please remember me if i

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116197] New: OOXML Information rights management

2018-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116197

Bug ID: 116197
   Summary: OOXML Information rights management
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:docx, filter:pptx, filter:xlsx
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Created attachment 140344
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=140344&action=edit
Example file from Word 2013

MS Office has a nice information rights management feature, where one can
restrict permissions to a document, and if you can not identify yourself to the
local AD server as one of the people with permissions to read/edit, you won't
get the keys needed to decrypt the file.

Official user documentation for this feature:

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/information-rights-management-in-office-c7a70797-6b1e-493f-acf7-92a39b85e30c

LO currently does not support this at all, but it would be nice to.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 73526] bad PDF export of slide background with gradients

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73526

Greetings,

I can confirm that the bug still exists in LibreOffice 6.0.2-1. I'm running
Arch Linux x86_64 Linux 4.15.4-1-ARCH with KDE Plasma 5.12.2-1.

I have downloaded the sample slide and the white lines are there, although I
have arrived to this bug through an experience of my own. I attach a new
gradient slide, with analogous results that can be seen in the pdf comparison.
The slide has four triangles with transparency and gradients that superpose.

The new slide is testslide.odp and the comparison can be seen in
testslide_bug.pdf.

The document opens in one or two seconds, and initially the cell cursor is in
cell B23 which isn't initially visible (scrolled out of view), so it takes
perhaps half a second for the display to update when first moving the cursor
one cell in some direction with an arrow key.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116201] New: hyperlinks won't word wrap in Impress

2018-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116201

Bug ID: 116201
Summary: hyperlinks won't word wrap in Impress
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.5.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: j...@curioussymbols.com

Description:
I create a small text box in LibreOffice. I create the text "veolia woodlawn
bioreactor" and then I make the box small enough that the text wraps, one word
per line. Then select the last two words ('woodlawn bioreactor') and
Insert->Hyperlink. I paste in the hyperlink

https://www.veolia.com/anz/our-services/our-facilities/landfills/woodlawn-bioreactor-facility

After doing that, my word-wrapped text has un-wordwrapped, and now shows

veolia
woodlawn biore

(and the last bit of the word 'bioreactor' is chopped off).

After I press escape, I can see that my text was wordwrapped BADLY as follows

veolia
woodlawn bior
eactor

In summary, hyperlinks in LibreOffice are not properly treated as multiple

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116177] incorrect background colour choice for focused items in 6.0 on linux

2018-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116177

Summary|poor font colour choice for |incorrect background colour

   |way to change it|6.0 on linux

This issue is caused by LO using the selection font colour with default
(unselected) background colour for focused items on linux. On windows LO uses
matching selection colours for both font and background, making the linux
version behave in the same manner is probably the best way of fixing this
problem. I changed the summary accordingly.

The two characters after `ory` (i.e., the 9 and the space) have language=Hindi;
and are RTL (you may see that if you move through the text using arrow keys).
The CTL font for the span (which is used for Hindi) is FreeSans, that is likely
to be missing from the Windows system. The CTL font may be seen if CTL is
enabled in Options-Language Settings-Languages.

Closing NOTABUG.

We have a min of 3.18 for the runtime so I'll set all the .uis to that same
version. IIRC there was some discussion of switching the min from 3.18 to 3.20
around April. But for the moment its supposed to be 3.18.

Weight and miter joins of the double line borders were going bad at 5.4, but
broken at 6.0. Seems corrected at 6.1/master--so a Windows bibisect needed to
look for the regression and its fix in master.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116206] New: Calc has very high memory consumption when dealing with lots of data on multiple worksheets

2018-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116206

Bug ID: 116206
Summary: Calc has very high memory consumption when dealing
with lots of data on multiple worksheets
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: perf
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Created attachment 140357
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=140357&action=edit
Example file with lots of random data

LibreOffice Calc has very high memory consumption when dealing with lots of
data on multiple worksheets compared to Microsoft Excel. The result is that
Calc is unable to open more complex spreadsheets that work just fine in
Microsoft Excel on the same computer.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet in LibreOffice Calc.
2. Add a simple function (e.g. =RAND()*100) to many (tens of thousands) of
cells on the first worksheet.
3. Copy the content of the first Sheet to multiple Sheets.
4. Sum the values from multiple sheets on the last sheet.
4. Save the file as XLSX.
5. Open the file in LibreOffice Calc and in Microsoft Excel.
6. Compare the memory consumption of the two applications.

Actual results:
The memory consumption of LibreOffice Calc is many times higher than the memory
consumption of Microsoft Excel. The memory consumption of Calc is even higher
when opening the XLSX file.

Expected results:
The memory consumption of LibreOffice Calc should be lower when dealing with
lots of data.

Compare DOCX in MSO and LO

Bugzilla is not "document based", like "this document doesn't display nice".
Bugzilla is "issue based", so a single issue must be pointed at, after a search
for not being a duplicate.
Bug report is not correct but issue exists: table content from .DOCX shown as
text in Writer
This docx is old 2007 format but that's not the reason.

5.3 is EOL.
Could you give a try to a recent LO version 5.4.5 or brand new 6.0.2?

If you still reproduce this, you can take a look to:
