[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135772] Additional section called TextSection introduced on opening DOCX/RTF/DOC
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135772 Justin L changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #3 from Justin L --- (In reply to Telesto from comment #2) > Is this by design for whatever reason? Yes, this is by design. Word's idea of sections is rather different from LO's. LO has a pyramid style of sections, while Word has an array of sections. So LO's bottom layer of the pyramid is "unspecified", but it still exists. And since it is a pyramid, the start of the document is the same style as the end of the document - but that doesn't fit well at all with Word's sequential concept. So if sections are used, EVERYTHING tends to be specified, including the beginning and the end. LO splits the stuff from a Word-section between Sections and Page Styles (since Word doesn't have page styles). This is especially important for anything to do with columns, or forms. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/65557 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

But with the current version 2020.012.20041 and LibreOffice 7.1alpha (August 14th) I still had the same Problem. Could you test one of the attached "broken" pdfs with your Reader Version and/or test if the pdf you created with LibreOffice works for you with the current version of Adobe Reader? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135462] LibreOffice 7.0.0.3 does not recognise JRE installation location at startup other than those in /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135462 --- Comment #18 from Marc Grober --- I downloaded Oracle Java 12.0.2, Alex, installed, started LO 7.0.0, received the defective java error message, then opened prefs and selected 12.0.2 as the java version for LO 7.0.0 and it work. Thereupon I installed the zotero connector, and it worked as well. So, it appears that something about LO 7 has broken something that works in LO 6, or that Oracle has somehow changed something in Java 14 that cause LO 7 to choke because LO 7 does not know how to handle it. At this point I do not know what the actual code error might be, but considering the rather extensive history of LO's issues with java on Mac, I think the criticality on this should be raised so that we don;t find ourselves running down a blind alley. It would seem that since whatever check LO does when instantiated on java, that whomsoever was responsible for any changes in that detection code should be able to quickly identify what the problem is. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107181] Page numbers wizard
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107181 --- Comment #17 from Telesto --- What the extension in comment 3 does should ideally be build into LibreOffice. Would make more workable; you have to follow by far more steps currently to get it done (and be bit creative). This is great for customization; but less conformable for quick and easy workflow. The extension is actually flawed in the sense that page number right means all text is aligned right. Page number should be in a frame (or table) or something like that (similar to what word does), so text can be but left and the page number right. See also bug 135751 (which I interpret as a request for this) Hopefully not 'abusing this bug' as initial poster maybe had something different in mind? I personally interested in the - build in - comment 3 functionality. It's but of silly having to use a extension for such type of basic functionality (and not even working as someone would love to see it) The header bar does make it possible to insert a numbering.. again without formatting.. Ideally maybe some kind of template styles of different header/footer formattings? For the most common header/footer layouts @Heiko.. this kind of a idea.. you're mostly liking styles/templates? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123288 Thomas Lendo changed: What|Removed |Added CC||thomas.le...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Thomas Lendo --- I would also prefer something like a notification bar in the print dialog. Ideally this notification bar is gaining attention so that it will not be overlooked and it must be in a position that isn't there without the notification (e.g. the notification area and also it's space in the dialog isn't existing without any notification and the dialog is smaller without the notification bar). A link/button that opens the print ranges edit dialog would be cool. But isn't this too intrusive as the print dialog must be closed automatically? Nothing should overlay the content that will be printed (e.g. no info in the preview of the print dialog) and such info should not be "too loud" (e.g. no red text). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
