[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114533] add support for FLIF image format (image import and inside .ods/.odt)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114533 tim changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WONTFIX |--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #10 from tim --- A couple of years have gone by, and webp is now supported by all current web browsers, and modern toolkits such as qt5. and has strong support from the likes of google, so it is becoming more popular, and is likely to stay around for a while. Could someone re-look at adding support. For export to ms office formats or older odf formats it should be pssible to change the format to png or jpeg internally for compatibility. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139137 --- Comment #4 from rtpb...@gmail.com --- well, am still looking at how to get that debug file, I think I switch off all these functionalities at some point in the interest of privacy, if you have any clue what I would need to switch back on, that could help me get it over faster in the meantime, have tested the bug some more, on 6.4 at least, it seems I was incorrect in saying that once the crashes start they cannot be stopped, basically if I switch voice control off, the crashes do stop so they clearly are linked to that feature somehow -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132959 --- Comment #7 from WN --- I'd like to second Roberts remark. Exporting the same odg-File with LO 6.1 gives the following png information obtained by imagemagicks identify -verbose: Format: PNG (Portable Network Graphics) Mime type: image/png Class: DirectClass Geometry: 1183x925+0+0 Resolution: 118.3x118.3 Print size: 10x7.8191 Units: PixelsPerCentimeter Type: TrueColorAlpha ... Exporting the same file with LO 6.4 and 7.0 from LO website the header reads now: Image: TCP-Header.png Format: PNG (Portable Network Graphics) Mime type: image/png Class: DirectClass Geometry: 1183x925+0+0 Units: Undefined Type: TrueColorAlpha Obviously, the fields resolution, print size are missing and the field units is left undefined. Using the standard equation: no_of_pixels = dpi * inches the information in the new header format is not sufficient to deduce the size and/or the resolution. gimp, inkscape, imagemagick et al thus have to assume a resolution ... and choose the standard of 72. IMHO this looks really like a regression in the 6* series to me... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138419] Copy of file opened in a fresh Writer window loses all chapter titles when updating table of contents
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138419 --- Comment #11 from Luke Kendall --- This is my book manuscript, and I am 99.999% sure I never round-tripped it to .docx and back again to .odt. I consider such an operation unsafe in the extreme. Saving to .docx loses a lot if information, including changing pagination. So it's not something I would willingly do, and I'm also very confident I never did that. Note my original comment: when I copied the file (to obfuscate that copy), I noticed the error, yet the saved file and the copied file were identical according to Linux cmp. So Writer must have suffered some corruption. I can also add that I had a crash of Writer after some weeks with the document open, yet when I opened that version of the document I could update the TOC and there were no problems. Pretty weird behaviour. I also think that the 7.0 series is slower than the 6.4 series on long documents such as this with a lot of comments - though still far better than it used to be back in the 5.x series (which had an O(N^2) algorithm problem with no. of comments). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

For other backends the support is disabled for now as we need to add it for each backend separately and enable support. When this patch is applied it is possible to a Bitmap with bit count 32, but currently no input filter uses this with the exception of the new PngImageReader(libpng based), which is used only for the icons. For a general support more things need to be implemented and tested: - conversion back and fourth between 32-bit and 24-bit + 8bit alpha (or other supported pairs) - 'raw' export of the bitmap needs to be handeled properly (like in SVM import/export) so it creates the correct image. - input filters need to be checked and converted if this is necessary - look for possible bugs when drawing transparent bitmaps - check of UNO API https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=86ea64f216819696cd86d1926aff0a138ace2baf -> This is only about lacking dpi. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138773] FILEOPEN: OOXML: Incorrect rotation in axis labels
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138773 --- Comment #2 from NISZ LibreOffice Team --- I have noticed this in a lot of our own chart-files too. This chart (and a lot of other default ones) does not specify an explicit rotation value, which means the default horizontal text direction is not taken literally, it depends on the amount of axis labels and their length. This chart also uses the Label interval setting of 2, which is not supported by LO (I'll file an enhancement :)). Play with this to see what I mean with the above: - if you set this interval to automatic (1) in Word, double amount of axis labels is displayed, like in Writer. They get rotated to 270 degrees in Word like: | - with the setting of 2 the labels are rotated to -45 degrees in Word like: / - with the setting of 4 the labels are actually horizontal like _ since this way there is so few of them that they fit horizontally. Word would in all these cases still display "Horizontal" text direction, but in reality it measures the text length and finds the most optimal rotation. I think it would be best to revert that patch and later implement some sort of "Automatic" rotation setting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139149 Bug ID: 139149 Summary: EDITING Chart category axis does not have “Interval between labels” setting Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Chart Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: libreoff...@nisz.hu CC: nem...@numbertext.org, rb.hensc...@t-online.de, tund...@gmail.com, varga.bala...@nisz.hu Blocks: 90486, 108237 Created attachment 168406 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=168406=edit attachment #167999 in Word 2013 and Writer 7.0 For a chart category axis MSO offers a setting “Interval between labels” which allows to show only every nth labels, if there are many and the user only needs some of those. Chart does not have a similar setting, so it would be a nice addition for interoperability to support such a feature in ODF (and later in OOXML import-export + UI) too. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attachment #167999 in Word and Writer Actual results: X axis has more labels displayed than Word. The X axis settings in Word has “Interval between labels” set to 2, while there is no similar feature in the LO UI. Expected results: This bug is only about implementing a similar LabelInterval property in ODF: automatic (meaning 1) or custom value. My Word 2013 seems to limit the custom value to 255 so for interoperability the 1-255 range would make sense in ODF. Implementing OOXML support / UI would be topic for subsequent bugs. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139137 Julien Nabet changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ipla...@tuta.io --- Comment #5 from Julien Nabet --- I had kept your Alex' accessibility questionnaire on MacOs. " 1) Do you have any accessibility features enabled? Apple’s accessibility features like “VoiceOver” or “Enable access for assistive devices”, which get enabled in “System Preferences > Universal Access”, are known to cause many crashes and freezes in LibreOffice. So please try to disable any accessibility features, then check if the problem is still reproducible. 2) Do you have installed any window management/user interface utilities/apps/control panels/extensions for Mac OS X like * AquaSnap* BetterSnapTool * BetterTouchTool * Breeze * Cinch * Divvy * DoublePane * Flexiglass * HyperDock * iSnap * Moom* RightZoom * ShiftIt * SizeUp * SizeWell* Spectacle * Stay* TileWindows * WindowTidy * Flavours (from flavours.interacto.net) ... or something similar? And/or do you use any mouse cursor/pointer utility, i.e. some little application or control panel etc. which animates or replaces etc. the mouse curser/pointer, like * LazyMouse? And/or do you use any special software which could be related to accessibility stuff, e.g. a screen reader, screen magnifier, speech recognition software, a text-to-speech (dictation) application, or similar? All these and many similar utilities rely heavily on Mac OS accessibility features and therefore can cause LibreOffice to crash or freeze. So please check if you have installed any utility of this kind and try to disable it (or to add LibreOffice to the list of excluded applications for the utility, if there is such a thing). So please check these possibilities, if any of them helps to make the crash go away, and report the results here. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139073] Spreadsheet crashes when trying to save as .uos format
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139073 --- Comment #8 from Ming Hua --- (In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #3) > Should it be "nil" "none" other? I don't find any specs/api for uos format > in English. Yeah, I'm not even sure if a non-Chinese version of specification exists. The whole Chinese specification is available online, though under a horrible Flash-based reader: http://openstd.samr.gov.cn/bzgk/gb/newGbInfo?hcno=C3C85F8E2E384424E49A0D3A35B47F85 >From a cursory look it seems UOF uses "none". Though I didn't find the exact section about border-width, and was just finding "none" used in other places. I am happy to dig a bit more into the spec if Julien or other developers are interested in working on this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
