That's why we introduced the "TargetURL" property for commands. With it you can create as many shortcuts as you want, with different labels and icons, all pointing to the same underlying "real" command. The only problem is that it doesn't work for buttons in the NB (but it does for menu buttons there), and that part might need some development. The other thing you should keep in mind is that "commands" created using "TargetURL" are just shortcuts not real commands, so they won't appear as available commands in the customization dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125320] - sporadic fail! - combination of autocalculate and shared formulae still broken in 6.3.0.0.alpha1+ with threaded off
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125320 --- Comment #19 from matthewn...@yahoo.co.uk --- It's known that many reasons can cause a zero result in a cell, often to do with formatting, shared formulae, often solved by the calcext for Libreoffice. Bugs due to copy and paste resulting in zeroes are investigated and resolved one by one. So, what's new about this? Please educate me if necessary. I don't know of any calculation/autocalculation/recalculation that depends on the view area of an active window. Am I missing the point? If it's a problem, it explains a lot. Users (like me) slide scrollbars all day, which causes a patchwork of cells that may or may not have been refreshed by autocalculate. When a Save is done - the patchwork is faithfully reproduced in the content.xml. We'll find out about it much later when scrolling around and, perhaps, clear the affected cell too (without knowing how, because it's else than a formula correction - it's because the view window was looking elsewhere!).. I hope my attachment is useful. I'll hit Shift+Ctrl+F9 a hundred times a day if it might keep the spreadsheet useable. Just to repeat, the attachment file is without any iterations nor circular references and Calc 5 opens properly with iterations off (of course). History. An example. Unexpected zeroes in cells after simple formulae (or none at all, just like mine put L6 to =C6) occurred in Microsoft Excel 2007. https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/any-answers/excel-formula-only-displays-zero There the Users (accountants) have difficulty in believing what they see since 2013. Users of 2020 who continue with older hardware and 2007 software are very puzzled. They don't mention if they've moved the view area around to see behind the Window Service and their forum is without file attachment options. They try to work out if they're unable to understand the sum of nine numbers (as one cause) or looking at a real Bug. If they find iterations (my file has none) it is sorted out, just like for Libreoffice; one example https://www.excelforum.com/excel-general/768809-formulas-keep-returning-a-value-of-zero.html Please guide me to where I can trace Microsoft Excel debugging since 2007. Specifically I can look to see if they had a "window area dependent Bug". I'm not an expert in Xorg or the other compositer/client/servers, nor Wayland today. Yet I feel (am I wrong?) that it's soffice.bin fetching the Window view area (for some reason). Then (odd behaviour) it's calculating a photo negative of that. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107120 --- Comment #12 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- With insight from comment 11, it should be possible (and not ad hoc) to: 1. make new ”shortcuts” in officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI/WriterCommands.xcu - using TargetURL pointing to the current .unos that appear in the Styles menu in Writer. - with desired labels for Styles menu in these shortcuts 2. Modify sw/uiconfig/swriter/menubar/menubar.xml to point to these new shortcuts. Concretely in relation to Styles menubar in Writer, the new labels could be: ”Edit Style…” → ”Edit Selected Paragraph Style” ”Update Selected Style” → ”Update Selected Paragraph Style” ”New Style from Selection” → ”New Paragraph Style from Selection” too long labels? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125320 --- Comment #21 from matthewn...@yahoo.co.uk --- Hi Michael. Thank you for the encouragement. My text was too long. Briefly. attachment 168720 is offered because it's without iterations (none). Steps 1 to 11 are reproduceable every time (here). [I did mention iterations that are bugging other users. But not this one. Probably best if I'd not mentioned the subject! Apologies.] Next, I'm attempting to reproduce how Buovjaga saw err:522 only from row 1322 upwards (using b's original attachment). It looks like we observe and test with different application Windows sizes or save (for a cup of coffee), reopen or scroll . . .and end up with a different record (xml) again. I'll be swift (and brief) if I can learn - does any spreadsheet software limit or flip it's calculations according to the Window frame requested of the OS compositer? It's a first (time) for me! (My Realtime processing background - we do that, but I didn't ever expect it of Calc. It's doing it and broken too, but why; false economy?). Next. Yes. I'm working on a clean sheet reproduction (getting there) yet I think attachment 168720 shows the fundamental cause already. Apologies again for flashing side-comments and notes above. If stats exponential smoothing is some sort of pseudo-iteration without saying so, please let me know. However, the *same* files can usually be loaded with the apparently intended formatting on a 32-bit Debian Buster running exactly the same version of the 32-bit LO build, again from Buster Backports (maybe a glitch in the extension of 32-bit OLE items to 64-bit?). I could provide - a sample document, - a screen shot taken on the 32-bit system showing the intended formatting and - a screen shot taken on the 64-bit system showing the garbled layout, but unfortunately it is too large for upload (496K tar.xz). Please tell me an alternative submission method if the sample would be helpful for fixing this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132815] a faulty printer device hangs a) the page format dialog, b) the print dialog and c) the start of LO 6.4.3
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132815 --- Comment #4 from ArebaKhan --- I've had problems with some printer drivers that corrupt workstations far more often than other printers (or versions of that print driver). I've had this problem most of all with HP UPD and I've had the best luck with HP UPD 5.5, so much so that it's my way to the driver when it's available for a printer (have a look at https://printerhow.com for more details). If the print driver is the case, look at a different version on your print server once you narrow it down to which print driver is corrupted. Do you have the same symptoms with another user? How about a local non-domain admin? Is that Windows 7,8,10? Try to remove the network printers from the registry? Stop printing the spooler and open the D&P, then start the spooler? It could be a crazy corrupt print driver if you can open D&P with another user by uninstalling all printers, deleting all print drivers, rebooting and logging in with a domain user who could not open it before. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139296] scrolling document canvas down & up can cause a line of text to "tear" with loss of registration, it clears when the line moves out of view far enough or view passes to
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139296 --- Comment #10 from spokanemagn...@gmail.com --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #9) > This is such a low percentage issue and the visual glitch on document canvas > is transient, I don't see it as fixable. Perhaps when bug 103322 brings in > floating point positioning and consistent subpixel rendering for the VCL > canvas. I am very disappointed to hear that you think this visual "glitch" is trivial and not fixable. Everything is fixable, and there is no such thing as a trivial functional glitch. I have used numerous word processing programs since they first came out--and not one of them ever demonstrated this sort of problem, and certainly not as routinely as this one does. The whole point of a word processing program is to facilitate the production of documents, so if the program by its very design causes the text in documents to twist, distort, and shrink in font size when simply scrolling through the document, this has to be considered a major malfunction. If the whole point of starting this open source program was to build something not only compatible with, but as good as, if not better than, Microsoft Office, then thus far you have failed. Like them, it seems you have spent too much time adding unnecessary bells and whistles that overly complicate the usage of the product. How many prospective users do you think are going to put up with this unnecessary irritant and distraction, especially professional office workers? Do you think the legal secretaries in a law office would put up with this? I can tell you from past, personal experience in the computer field service business the answer is not no but hell no. It is a shame really because it is obvious that you put an awful lot of work in developing this software, apparently all for nothing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139296] scrolling document canvas down & up can cause a line of text to "tear" with loss of registration, it clears when the line moves out of view far enough or view passes to
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139296 --- Comment #11 from V Stuart Foote --- IMHO this transient visual glitch *is* trivial, bordering on a wontfix resolution. @Luboš, any comment on severity and potential to correct? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139499] New: FILESAVE: mangled structured references in Data Validity cell range criterion
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139499 Bug ID: 139499 Summary: FILESAVE: mangled structured references in Data Validity cell range criterion Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j...@protonmail.com Created attachment 168773 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=168773&action=edit OOXML spreadsheet created in Libre Calc exhibiting the issue LibreOffice Calc has a feature to restrict the values of a cell to the values present in a specified cell range (the "source"), by way of the Data -> Validity... modal. The source can be specified using the usual cell reference syntax without issue. The source may also be specified using a structured reference to a database range. I have encountered issues with the persistence of these structured references after saving and loading a document. In the OOXML and 2007-365 Excel formats, the structured reference's column name is not saved in a case-sensitive manner. The table name is saved correctly, but the column name is saved in lowercase. Since column names are case sensitive, the structured reference breaks, and only Err. 509 is available from the dropdown menu. In ODF the structured reference decays to an absolute cell reference. This is also not ideal, because a spreadsheet author might expect the validation to change when the database range is redefined. To reproduce, create and populate a database range with column headers, say table Foo with field Bar (uppercase B). Then, for some cell outside the table, perhaps B9, specify a cell range data validation using the syntax Foo[Bar]. Save the document, restart Calc and reopen the document, and check the validity of B9. I have done this in the attached OOXML spreadsheet. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139421] Calc: calcuate weeknumber-year missing in 2021
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139421 --- Comment #10 from Eike Rathke --- Coming up with an arbitrary made-up format code like YW or WWW is fragile as you never know if Excel doesn't come along with a different definition of the same later.. Abusing a [NatNum#] modifier for this also isn't appealing. However, we could introduce a new modifier [WeekNum=#] where # can take either * the same values as the WEEKNUM() Mode parameter * benefit: the same values user might know * drawback: just those values or * values that define the minimum number of days in a week and the start day of the week, by which all week definitions can be described, which is what locale data uses * here the WEEKNUM() Mode values 11..17 could mean the same, MinimalDaysInFirstWeek=1 and StartDayOfWeek=1..7 * the WEEKNUM() Mode=1 US definition would be 17, MinimalDaysInFirstWeek=1 and StartDayOfWeek=7 (Sunday) (where generally MinimalDaysInFirstWeek=1 means the week containing January 1 is week 1) * the WEEKNUM() Mode=2 definition would be 11, MinimalDaysInFirstWeek=1 and StartDayOfWeek=1 (Monday) * the ISO definition would be 41, MinimalDaysInFirstWeek=4 and StartDayOfWeek=1 (Monday) * benefit: all possible week definitions * drawback: user might have a harder time figuring out, may need an extra help page I tend to the latter because of its flexibility and so we're not stuck with the definition of WEEKNUM(). Though in practice (locale data) I haven't seen definitions using other than StartDayOfWeek={mon, sat, sun} and MinimalDaysInFirstWeek={1,4,7}; these already are not all representable with the WEEKNUM() Mode definition. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132780] Feature Request: Add Calc Tables with functionality similar to Excel tables
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132780 --- Comment #20 from j...@protonmail.com --- Tables are ubiquitous in any Excel spreadsheet I make. I'm very happy to see everything that's been implemented so far. It makes feature parity seem very possible. Here are the gaps I consider most important: - The @ operator to specify a structured reference to a cell in the current row. Calc's syntax to accomplish the same thing is much more verbose, implicit, and, as far as I know, undocumented. - Calculated columns: some way to ensure that every cell of a field inside a database range uses the same formula, that changing the height of the range will also copy the formula, that changing the formula in one cell will change it for the whole column. - The ability to rename a database range, updating the name in any references elsewhere in the workbook. - Formula bar autocomplete for structured reference syntax, especially when selecting a range of cells. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
