formatting in account
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=170421&action=edit
Example file from Excel

Attached example file was made in Excel and contains some numbers formatted
with two decimal places, some of which are filtered. Excels filter shows the
numbers as they appear in the cells, with two decimals.
When opened in Calc the filter contains the unformatted numbers and none of
them is selected.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached file

Actual results:
The autofilter dropdown does not show any items selected; numbers should be
formatted as two decimals.

Expected results:
Autofilter should show 0,33 ; 4,00; 563,12; 12,60 selected and all numbers
formatted with two decimals.

Alex, a correct function name is WEBSERVICE, so a formula should be

=WEBSERVICE("api.coingecko.com/api/v3/simple/
> price?ids=bitcoin&vs_currencies=usd")

Are you sure it was a correct checking?

Im using a FR version of LO, and the function is localized.

For example, using the link given as an example in the online help for Calc
with this function :

=SERVICEWEB("wiki.documentfoundation.org/api.php?hidebots=1&days=7&limit=10&action=feedrecentchanges&feedformat=rss")

displays in the cell

so something in the URL parser on macOS is causing the problem ?

This bug report indeed needs an overhaul. I attempted to drag around the shapes
(assuming those be selected). This wasn't the case, I some point I started
Shift+ Clicking elements (but well those elements are not evenly distributed..
So not really an option..

Ultimate I found that select an Item and drag would work (what I actually tried
was Shift drag square after clicking. Not simple drag after clicking an object.

So I had a hard time to get what I wanted.. next question is.. me that stupid
or this having really specific workflow.

Select the full shape & paste it into Draw.. Now you can drag around the same
to get a selection.. this is actually what I would desire/expect. But well Draw
canvas is not writer canvas, so no clue if this doable

FWIW, as far I'm concerned this should also work visa versa. Select multiple
items navigator to highlight those object in document (and even consider
grouping)

Maybe this should be limited to objects on single page, though. But this is
only an idea, implementation probably more complex

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140970] New: Usability: Trying to Add user-defined document property quits dialog when trying to enter 'A'

2021-03-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140970

Bug ID: 140970
Summary: Usability: Trying to Add user-defined document
property quits dialog when trying to enter 'A'
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ulrich.wi...@rz.uni-regensburg.de

Trying to reproduce some older issue, I found this one (for German language):
When I tried to add the user-defined property "Arbeit", the following happened.
I opened File->Properties ("Eigenschaften" in German), then user-defined
properties ("Benutzerdefinierte Eigenschaften").
The I pressed "Eigenschaft hinzufügen" (add property).
A new entry ("Name", "Art", "Wert" (name, type, value) appears BUT the input
focus is NOT on "Name" (as users might expect).
As soon as I type 'A' (Shift+a), the whole dialog closes!
That seems true because of those three issues:
1) The focus is not on the new input field(s)
2) "Abbrechen" (abort) has 'A' as hot key
3) Shift+a, and not ALt+A (or Alt+Shift+a) triggers the abort.

All in all just bad usability.

Agree with Stuart, different icons should do the trick. Label would be required

repro 7.2+.
I imagine the problem is related to a tab-stop following a centre-aligned
tab-stop. Changing the 4.00cm tab-stop to left-aligned "fixes" the unseen
content.

Probably the space required for that first portion is mis-calculated (or simply
needs to be calculated LATER and for some reason that isn't done).

It is not a file open or save problem - since Word reads a round-tripped file
just fine still. So it is "just" a layout issue.

I also confirm this error. Hidden sections will not be visible again.

This is a very important problem (showstopper) for the applications that use
LibreOffice as a report generator or certificate generator and show/hide

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140972] New: The "Find & Replace..." dialog box opens by default in the expanded version

2021-03-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140972

Bug ID: 140972
Summary: The "Find & Replace..." dialog box opens by default in
the expanded version
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tv1...@yandex.ua

Description:
In LibreOffice Writer, when you open the "Find and Replace..." dialog box
(Ctrl+H), it opens all the time in an expanded version ("Other options" is
expanded).
In previous versions, this dialog box appeared minimized "Other options" by
default. This was the expected behavior.
Also, when you click on the "Other options" item and close the dialog box -
when you open the dialog box, it opens again in an expanded view of the dialog
box (it does not remember the option).
Considering that on small laptop screens this dialog box takes up a lot of
workspace (and the need to use Other options does not arise often), it would be
better if this dialog box were opened in a minimized form by default, as in
previous versions. Or if this is an innovation and not a bug, please make it
possible to save the opening state (with expanded or minimized "Other options")
of this dialog box.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice writer
2. Open "Find and Replace" dialog box (Ctrl+H)

Actual Results:
Dialog box open with expanded Other options.

Expected Results:
Dialog box open with minimized Other options.

Reproducible: Always

This is really strange, as the second line for "previous slide or previous
effect" wraps (if not at the ideal position), but the first line for "next
slide or next effect" doesn't.

I don't have a second monitor so can't test this presenter console feature. If
there is a way for single-monitor setup to test this, let me know.

Regardless, this issue is now out of my expertise area as a translator. I've
changed the summary and other fields as needed, and hopefully another QA person
or a developer with more knowledge can take a look.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138902] Impress Presenter Console Help Screen Text Doesn't Wrap Properly (Simplified Chinese Translation Only?)

What about breaking the line into two lines?

Neither do I. I test it with a TV mirrored via AirPlay, or connect the HDMI
cable.
Since this is not a platform specific issue, you can try to test it on
Linux/Windows, with a TV that supports MiraCast. Although I am not sure which
Linux distribution supports that, windows 10 is OK.

BTW, could you tell me which file in the L10n LibreOffice installation
directory contains this string? And which one is the corresponding one on
Weblate? So I can download that file and test it directly once you fix it.

Last time it took me much time on looking for the files, but I couldn't find
them.

Please see bug 140952 comment 1. Its description also tells that the problem
started to appear when user installed a security update from MS, and
uninstalling it made it work correctly. It would be useful to know which update
was that... anyway, this is definitely a system bug (either of Windows, or of
some device driver), that happens to be triggered by use of system functions by
LibreOffice. As a first step, please try to force Skia software rendering, and
report if that fixed it. Also please tell your video hardware model and driver
version.

Please mention your video hardware model, video driver version, and which
security update was that that caused this. Thanks!

I'm not willing to try this without being able to test locally first. And I
have neither a local build environment nor dual-display setup to test it.

LibreOffice's l10n framework is rather unique, and as far as I can tell the
translated strings for an installed system are in some .xcd file in
$INSTALL_DIR/share/registy/, likely one of those three with _zh-CN.xcd suffix.
On Windows the default $INSTALL_DIR is C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\.

These .xcd files are processed binary files, and there are not equivalent files
on Weblate. Weblate just uses LibreOffice's regular .po files in the source
code (if you are not familiar with .po files, please search for GNU gettext
documentation). The .po files are converted to .xcd files during the build
process, and I don't know the exact details.

Sorry I can't help you much on this. Please use other resources (Ask
LibreOffice website, IRC user/developer channels, for example) if you still
seek an answer.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134607] LO7RC1 - LANGPACK macOS - many versions fail to recognize LibreOffice 7.0 / 7.1 installation as valid on Catalina and Big Sur

2021-03-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134607

Thanks for having a look - cannot test with all versions of macOS, so I just
hope that the new patch will work independent of any user settings and on all
supported versions of macOS.. patch prepared with that changed here:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/112385

Would appreciate if people watching this bug could fill in their findings with
versions of macOS not listed yet for the following command:

mdls --name kMDItemFSName /path/to/LibreOffice.app

It should report »kMDItemFSName = "LibreOffice.app"« (no directories, and .app
extension independent of the "show file extensions" setting in finder.

tested good:
10.11 (comment from SveDoc)
10.14 (myself)
10.16/11 (myself)

Please comment with your results if you can test on a different version or (and
especially in that case) if you get a different result. Feel free to include
additional confirmation for ones listed by other users, but no need for
comments that don't add new versions of macOS to that list.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140979] New: Paste Special with Transpose does not respect visibility of cells

2021-03-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140979

Bug ID: 140979
Summary: Paste Special with Transpose does not respect
visibility of cells
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: burnus...@gmail.com

Description:
EDITING: Copy and Paste / Paste Special uses only visible (filtered) cells.
But Paste Special with option "Transpose" inserts also invisible cells!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a number list, e.g. 1,2,3,4,5,6
2. Add beside a category list, e.g. a,b,a,b,a,b
3. Activate AutoFilter => select "a"
4. Copy visible numbers (e.g. 1,3,5)
5. Insert below with Paste or Paste Special => 1,3,5
6. Insert below with Paste Special + "Transpose" => 1,2,3,4,5

Actual Results:
non visible cells are inserted too, when using Paste Special with "Transpose"

Expected Results:
Same content pasted when using Paste / Paste Special /Paste Special + Transpose

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
see attached example
(Test with LO 7.1.0.3 and LO 7.1.1.2)

Nice. PostFormat and PreFormat commands with no comments indicating why one
would want to pre-format or post-format. And what does LastTab really mean -
especially when it is nullptr?

In any case, we get this warning at the moment:
sw/source/core/text/txttab.cxx:325: SwTabPortion::PreFormat: rush hour

Reverting Cedric's patch still causes that one document to hang.

However, revert and removing the "return 0" fixes everything. (But what does it
break?)
