[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142172] LO colors theme: dark mode: use darker document background color
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142172 --- Comment #6 from Heiko Tietze --- We have a contrast ratio of 12.63:1, which is above the recommended minimum of 4.5:1. Breeze Dark, the default on Linux/KDE [1], is #31363B (we use #33) with 12.19:1- almost the same. MacOS uses also some grey color not sure what exactly [2]. High contrast is good for accessibility but not always appealing. Contemporary design goes actually the opposite way and lowers the contrast as much as possible- also not a good idea. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67302] TablesSupplier name clash when dots in schema/table name
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67302 --- Comment #17 from Lionel Elie Mamane --- (In reply to Matt K from comment #16) > Can you please provide an example of how to exhibit this bug by using the > interface, and how to see the output? I'm not sure it can be exposed in the UI per se. But if one creates a schema with a "." in the name, and a table with a "." in the name, to trigger the name clash, possibly/probably bugs will start to appear in the UI, in the form of one being used when one means the other. To trigger the name clash, e.g.: - create two schemas "a" and "a.b" - in schema "a", create table "b.c" - in schema "a.b", create table "c" Make the two tables different, at least different data if not different structure. Then try to open one, the other, LibreOffice may be confused between the two, not sure. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142278 Bug ID: 142278 Summary: No more than 30 bordered colums in a sheet Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: alex.voltu...@gmail.com Description: It is not possible to visualize in preview a grid wider than 30 columns. This happens if you paste times and times a cell with all borders activated or if you select more than 30 columns (each of them wide at least 0,50 cm), selecting to draw draw all the borders nd then visualize the page preview. Up to 30 columns you work fine and this problem doesn't appear, but if it happens to paste any number of cells more, then what will be visualized (in the preview of the document) or printed on paper is just a single column, independently of the number of cells pasted or bordered. In a previous edition of LibreOffice (version 3 if I remember well) this limitation was not present. I've found this limit because I needed to build a grid of squares (0,50cm x 0,50cm) to build a chequered sheet on which draw graphs. Steps to Reproduce: 1. resize columns size to 0,50cm 2. select more than 30 columns (the 30th columns is labelled AD) 3. Draw all borders 4. Examine the preview of the document Actual Results: the result is that exceeding the 30 columns it will be visualized always one column out of a completely blank sheet. Expected Results: What I do expect is no such limitations. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131817 --- Comment #8 from NarayanAras --- The biggest irritation is that the locking/unlocking is property of individual toolbars. Instead, it should be the property of the entire space. Here's the use case scenario: In the following scene, "right-click" means anywhere in the toobar area (over any toolbar or empty space). 1. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137349] Writer : Months and days are lowercase with French locale
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137349 --- Comment #5 from Eike Rathke --- Day and month names of formatted date values depend on the locale, for French fr-FR those are all lower case, so this is expected. However, to force capitalization the NatNum12 modifier and rules can be used, which here would be [NatNum12 =capitalize] and [NatNum12 NNN=capitalize]NNN Note that forced capitalization may be equally wrong in some locales that for example *always* use lower case names even in such calendar context. If you want to display the dates in always the same locale then in the number formatter select a fixed language/locale instead of the default locale. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Those ESCAPE records embed EMF content into WMF. The EMF itself has bunch of EMF+ records and according to the EmfPlusHeader in the first of them it's supposed to be "EMF/EMF+ dual" file, hence content should be the same in EMF and EMF+ records. For the analysis the following files were created from original (#0) file: - #1 "pure WMF" with all ESCAPE records removed - #2 EMF/EMF+ extracted from ESCAPE records - #3 "pure EMF" with EMF+ records removed from #2 - #4 WMF with ESCAPE records only Observed behavior of MS Paint and PowerPoint (mac): #0 -- all colors are presented #1 -- all colors are presented #2 -- all colors are missed #3 -- all colors are presented #4 -- empty picture Conclusions part A: - there is something wrong with EMF+ part inside of EMF inside of WMF - MS Paint and PowerPoint (mac) ignore EMF/EMF+ part of the WMF file (no rendering of "ESCAPE only" #4 file, no problem with original #0 file) Observed behavior of LO 7.2 master (May 11, 2021): #0 -- all colors are missed #1 -- all colors are presented #2 -- all colors are missed #3 -- all colors are presented except those at the bottom #4 -- all colors are missed Conclusions part B: - LO tries to use (presumably superior) EMF and (presumably superior) EMF+ in it, which leads to missing colors in #0, #2 and drawing colorless image in #4 - there is another unidentified bug that prevents LO from rendering some colors for #3 ("pure EMF") file Suggestions: - validate behavior with those files in other MS implementations (MSO on win etc) - change LO to ignore EMF/EMF+ in WMF files - investigate the smaller problem with #3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
