Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Blocker in 3.5.0Beta3?

The installation dialogs are now in pt-BR, which is fine.

However, in a customized installation (where I removed tons of useless
dictionaries), the user interface of the first invokation is in English
and not in pt-BR.

This is a serious issue and source of a tsunami of complains.

Please advise.

Olivier

If not, should I report this as a blocker?

Please report that bug with pt-BR and assign it to me.

 Bug added to the tracker

 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44915

I included the information by Olivier in the Comments. But maybe it is
better that Olivier confirms it to switch to status NEW?

I don't know how to assign it to you, Andras. I searched high and low and
couldn't find any other bug assigned to you (so that I could copy the
information). Either you are very efficient or my searching skills are too
 limited :)

 Pedro

Why don't you remove en-US language files from the install set, if you
don't need them? IS1033=0?

This might be a good workaround but it is not a solution... Do you mean it's
too late to fix this for 3.5.0?

(I had the same problem in a parallel install with pt-PT but I assumed that
it is how a parallel install works...)

And it's not an answer to my serious question. Sorry about that.

Seems you guys talk opinion wise. Could we have some facts ?

No hard facts from my side, only feelings, impressions, concerns. I'm using
LibO myself and watching mailing lists, so my feelings are simply based on
what I experience and what I read in the lists.

However, my wish to monitor bug-free usage comes exactly out of the desire
to collect some (hard) facts.

Re: [Libreoffice-qa] preparing QA talk for FOSDEM

2012-01-29 Thread Yifan Jiang
Hi Cor,

This is a great news, thanks for sharing :)

As far as I concern, Regression is our routine testing for each release, which
is pretty important to make sure the legacy important functions of Libreoffice
does not regress in a new release.

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Testing/Regression_Tests

For full regression test, would you like to give a view to Litmus as well?

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Litmus

And currently we encourage people to:

1. Run tests

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Litmus/Litmus_User_Guide#Run_Tests

2. Update regression test cases

- Add new test cases

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Litmus/Litmus_User_Guide#Populate_New_Test_Cases
- Translate exisiting test cases into different version

Best wishes,
Yifan

 Hi,

Saturday at FOSDEM I'll give a talk on QA.
LibreOffice QA: as handy and joyful as possible

Michael Meeks was so friendly to provide some text, while I was with
 my attention with different work:
Come and hear how the LibreOffice QA team works, get hands on
experience with bugzilla, find out where our daily snapshots are,
and how to use them, and chat with fellow QA guys. See some feedback
on the progress of bug tracking and some pretty graphs.

Below I'll sketch the items I would like to show.
I'll also check our QA wiki for important items.
Is there anything that I miss, please let me know.

Also: are there other QA-ers that are at FOSDEM and would like to
 join the talk :-)

I think to target for those that are not afraid to use a BugZilla,
but will greatly enjoy tips for working handy.

 so:

 - daily snapshots installation
 - show the page http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Details
 - most important do's and don'ts in BugZilla
 - learn how to use tag's / save use queries
 - learn how to find/search dups
 - bundling issues
 - ...
 - contact

 Ideas, things to add?

 Thanks,
