When I look at, it seems, that you have to use process launch (maybe followed by run and/or r?) instead of gdb's run. It makes no difference whether I run either just the LibreOffice.app, or drill down to the soffice binary. Any help, hints, pointers, much appreciated. [Libreoffice-qa] New Whiteboard Statuses

The problem was not with starting lldb and getting LO to load, but rather being able to enter debug comands whilst LO was running. I asked for help on the dev list and Tor kindly helped me out, so problem solved for the moment. It is very easy to check it, you don't need RTL operating system or RTL UI language. Just set the SAL_RTL_ENABLED environment variable before staring libreoffice. Windows: start cmd, the command prompt in the 'program' directory of LibreOffice. set SAL_RTL_ENABLED=1 soffice Linux: $ SAL_RTL_ENABLED=1 /path/to/libreoffice/program/soffice You'll have an English RTL UI.
