[Libreoffice-qa] Impress Remote does not work any longer with LO 4.3.0.0.4 nor with master
Hello @ll, is it only me, or does Impress Remote does not work any longer with newer versions of LO? I have tested it with LO Version: 4.3.0.4 Build-ID: 62ad5818884a2fc2e5780dd45466868d41009ec0 as well as with Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 9e970303ddcccd9e33641f8f00bbc4c739a58cd7 TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb- x86@45-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-07-22_02:33:57 (both parallel installed, following the instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel and with Germanophone lang- as well as helppack) on Debian Testing i686. I used my Archos 80 Gen 9 tablet with Android 4.0.4 and my Acer Iconia A1-810 with Android 4.4.2 (both with Impress Remote available via F-Droid – https://f-droid.org – and via Play Store.) with Impress Remote 2.1.1 as well with the one from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Android-ARM@24-Bytemark-Hosting/ (which, btw., is empty today?) from yesterday, IIRC, but to no avail ... :( Can someone confirm this? Steps to reproduce: 1. Start your Android device 2. Install Impress Remote either via Playstore or – better – via F- Droid, if you have not done it already ... ;) 3. Start your installed LO Impress 4. Either create a small presentation or open an existing one 5. Start Impress Remote on your Android device 6. On your desktop PC, Laptop, whatever: Go to Slide Show – Impress Remote In Impress Remote, you should see the name of your desktop PC, netbook, whatever or its operating system. But you do not see anything in LO's Impress Remote dialog ... :( With LO Version: 4.1.6.2 Build-ID: 40ff705089295be5be0aae9b15123f687c05b0a (also with Germanophone lang- as well as helppack) it works as expected ... ;) Whould someone be so kind to check, if it the same with iOS, please? [Libreoffice-qa] Tools - Options - LibreOfficeDev - Paths does not work in daily master
Hi again, stumbled upon the following: 1. Download master from today (http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/) 2. Install it in parallel, follow the instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel (especially, edit your bootstraprc or bootstrap.ini to not use your old profile) 3. Start LO 4. Go to Tools – Options – LibreOfficeDev – Paths 5. Click on the My Documents entry and then Edit... On my system, I am not able to change the path to a different path than ~/ ... :( Discovered with: LO Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 9e970303ddcccd9e33641f8f00bbc4c739a58cd7 TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb- x86@45-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-07-22_02:33:57, but also with Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 42cd7a8a26201fa1db98d6498198db23abef87fc TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb- x86@45-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-07-31_21:12:57 OS: Debian Testing i686 Can someone confirm this with a different OS/architecture? It seems, that something changed with (some?) buttons, as the Tools – Options – LibreOfficeDev – Security and then Macro Security... – tab Trusted Sources's Add... button does not work as well ... :( Sorry for the inconvenience Thomas. -- For good, return good. [Libreoffice-qa] REPOENED Status
Hi All, I'm noticing quite a few QA members using REOPENED incorrectly so this is just a reminder. REOPENED is for a bug that has been marked as FIXED by a developer and is currently assigned to that developer. It is *not *for a bug that has been marked as WORKSFORME (ie. never confirmed or a bug that we think was fixed but a developer never said this). For these bugs the bug should be put back to UNCONFIRMED with a comment. Please make sure to do this (currently we have a couple hundred reopened bugs that I have to manually check to see if they are correct). Also when closing a bug as WORKSFORME please tell the user to set the bug to UNCONFIRMED if they can still reproduce (and not just say reopen the bug if you can still confirm - as they then put the bug in REOPENED status which is again...not correct). I know it's a bit confusing but it is what it is. Re: [Libreoffice-qa] REPOENED Status
Hi Joel, I do not remember any direct way from WFM to UNCONFIRMED. I have not done much lately, but REOPENED was the only meaningful way to get it out of resolved state... Anyway, thanks for highlighting :) Liebe Grüße, / Yours, Florian Reisinger Am 01.08.2014 um 18:34 schrieb Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com: Hi All, I'm noticing quite a few QA members using REOPENED incorrectly so this is just a reminder. Hey Florian, Hi Joel, I do not remember any direct way from WFM to UNCONFIRMED. I have not done much lately, but REOPENED was the only meaningful way to get it out of resolved state... Anyway, thanks for highlighting :) Yeah - best to go from WORKSFORME to NEEDINFO and then to UNCONFIRMED. I know a bit of a pain, but no more of a pain than me having to dig through REOPENED bugs to figure out which ones are really REOPENED and which ones I have to move back to UNCONFIRMED :-D Best, Joel -- *Joel Madero* LibreOffice QA Volunteer jmadero@gmail.com ___ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
[Libreoffice-qa] Another Round of Interoperability
Hi All, Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that i'm doing another round of extensive interoperability now that 4.3 has been released and am sending in a few bugs in per day, rather than alot at a single time. This also give me time to compare any new bugs that have been added into the 4.3 branch and verify previous fixes. I'm keeping the bug reports as short and simple as possible, with quick easy steps (i know this will make someone really happy :D), mainly just involving the opening of a file and comparing it with a screenshot. I'm assuming these bugs shouldnt take more than a minute or two to confirm and presently there are 11 bugs. Here is a quick link to them for those with spare time to kill. :) http://bit.ly/jay4_3bugs -- Regards, Jay Philips ___ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
