Unless you specify that you want to compile against the correct SDK version libcurl uses a vista function unconditionally. So this has been an old problem (and would have crashed on XP if the corresponding ucp component got loaded) but is now causing a crash already during start as our minidump uploaded has a libcurl dependency. There is a patch to fix it by telling the libcurl build to compile against the old version but as I have no XP I can not test if it really helps. [Libreoffice-qa] Testing - Slowness Enable Extended tips?
Please could someone test, with: Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/General - Help - Extended tips ->enable LibreOfffice becomes really slow for a while in Menu/Tools/Options or e.g. calling Function wizard in Calc and selecting functions. Looks as if takes a lot of time load the tips for first time. Please be aware that LibreOffice 5.2.0 RC1 has not been flagged as ready for production use yet, however feel free to give it a try instead of 5.0.6 of 5.1.4.
