Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Bugzilla Migration: Abbreviation to replace fdo#12345
Hi Rob and All, it is not easy understand what is happening. We are voting after a right process to do it. As Robinson wrote: The reason we're having a vote now is because Nov 8 - I mentioned abbreviation in the proposal Nov 10/11 - Discussed abbrevs on the QA list Nov 18 - QA Meeting decided to ask ESC for input Nov 21 - ESC offered suggestions; said the guys doing the work should choose. Nov 21 - Looked for consensus on QA list Dec 1 - Saw no consensus; Moving to vote on the QA list I think everyone in the project can vote here if they want. IMHO, we need to finish the voting process, and communicate the results. If some in the project are not agree, it's fine, they can report to the ESC their reflections and inform their proposal. In last term The Board can take a decision about what better fits for all in the project. Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Bug Fixed in 4.2 branch, broken in 4.1 daily, status thoughts?
I think we need to be more stricter, if the bug is in a published version in LibreOffice download page, like is the case, and if it is not fixed at least for the last published version, it can not be considered as fixed. Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Food for thought...
Hi Pedro, I think it is not needed any special justification in this case, even I don't like some linked people. Really I do not understand the concerns. Food for thought usually is good. IMMHO there are concerns that should be, as it is so few work to look for in the QA email. Or how the main job for QA team is to deal with the ... list of bugs. Or when I have posted relevant comments and questions in the QA scope, and seems no one care about them or maybe someone care who knows?. Regards. Re: [Libreoffice-qa] [Moztrap] Can someone explain test case #122 to me?
Hi Petr, thanks for your observation about change all in one step. The use of numbers #n instead of the columns letters was my election. Hi Kieran, On Monday, 8 April 2013, Kieran Peckett wrote: | The guides do get updated - the 4.0 guides are being written now and the getting started ones are already done. | http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/ thanks for you attention, I know it and I indeed appreciate the great job in the documentation. In my understanding the inner help is the primary help. I can understand update the help is not easy, but at least, then, we need a way for the people find right there the links to documentation, I think the quicker and easy can be an entry link in the help menu or links in the help?. Re: [Libreoffice-qa] [Moztrap] Can someone explain test case #122 to me?
Hi Thomas, I did the test, and certain that the bad English is mine. Basically changing the values: - in column #6 must change the background color in column #4 from green to blank. - in column #10 must change the background color in column #13 from salmon to green. - in column #15 must change the background color in column #13 from salmon to blank. Seems to work fine, except a crash the first time doing the test. [Libreoffice-qa] LibreOffice help update?
Hi all, sometimes, trying to help other users, I like to give them the reference where to find in the help about what are they looking for, etc.?. And always I can, I recommended to have a quick read of the help to know what is there, specially with new user. But with more enhancements introduced, I begun to find that this is no possible, because the help is not updated. Why is I have done an analysis about what enhancements, detailed in 4.0 New Features page (https://www.libreoffice.org/download/4-0-new-features-and-fixes), have been updated in the help. And unfortunately, the results are what I was afraid. nabble_a The analysis is tabulate in the joined spreadsheet. lt;nabble_a href=quot;QA_Analysis_New_4-0_Features_in_LibreOffice_Help.odsquot;QA_Analysis_New_4-0_Features_in_LibreOffice_Help.ods IMVHO, the enhancements, should not be in final release without the help properly updated. Because if the help is not the reference, where is the reference?. How can no one to know what is there?. Is it right? we all trying to know how the new announced enhancements works. How can we know when there is a bug or is the expected result? How can we do an QA test without know in detail the enhancement?. Why not mandatory to introduce the enhancements, update the help? So again IMVHO what is not in help is like it does not exist in program. I think I have read time ago in the net, about how difficult is maintain the help system. But if this is not done then I think we are going to nowhere. I hope some progress can be done here. Regards. Hi Yifan, I have revised the test, among other issues I have added an Instructions sheet. Licensed under MPL/LGPLv3 + Please if someone can review the text, thanks in advance. I have try to register in Moztrap, but by now I have not received the confirmation email. And as the Moztrap is in first steps, maybe better not too much hands on it. So please put the test in Moztrap if it is right. Is there some guide on how to structure the name of the test files? I think could be useful in the future.
