Looks like Thorsten just pointed the upload script to Win-x86@42 rather than
Win-x86_64@42, simple correction.

They are built with Visual Studio 2015 rather than Visual Studio 2013. The
64-bit VS2015 run-time components (vcruntime140.dll) that are required to
run C++ applications built using Visual Studio 2015.

If appropriate vcruntime140.dll is not loaded you'll get this error on
launch.

The VS2105 runtime are available from MS here:

Ok. So there will be x86 builds as well?

Are the VS2015 builds better (in some way) than those compiled with VS2013
or is it just a case of keeping up with Microsoft?

The builds are supposed to be functionally identical. (They are done to
ensure that development can proceed with new Microsoft toolchains.)

 easily.

Interesting. Mac minis certainly are transportable, but those are not the
newest models[1] -- most Hackfest attendents will have faster hardware in their
notebooks.

It might be worth considering as generic tinderboxes though -- those minis are
generally rather silent, so if we find some volunteers to host those, we should
maybe consider to apply for 5-10 of those.

Best,

Since there were no reactions to this at all, I am going to propose
unpacking these extensions to instdir as an easy hack. The makefiles

Hi,

On Thu, Oct 10, 2013 at 05:09:34PM +0100, Michael Meeks wrote:
 * Bundled extensions (Stephan)

So, some extra thoughts / suggestions for that:

There are two categories of extensions:

1. Internal extensions. These are built from sources and include
   presentation-minimizer, nlpsolver, wiki-publisher and
mysql-connector-ooo. I think it should be easy to add a
GeneratedPackage into the Extension gbuild class that copies the
extension root dir from workdir to the right place in instdir. (The
.oxt file will still be produced and copied to solver, but I do not
think this is worth any more effort. Much better way to spend one's
time would be to convert these extensions to optional components.)

I will look into this tomorrow.

2. External extensions. These are merely copied to solver from
$TARBALL_LOCATION (in extras/Package_extensions.mk). It would be very
