Setting priority to highest as this is a MAB. This is part of an effort to make
the importance of MAB reflected in priority too.

The addition of those three elements (suggested in comment 0) is just too much
clutter. I don’t think it’s an enhancement as it would add redundant ways to
enter the same dialog, which in any case would be better served in a context
toolbar, but not in a context menu.

I would seriously check the definition of context menu ;)

The purpose of the context menu is to provide easy access to frequently used
general and contextual features/functions not available in the toolbars, so
users dont have to go digging through the menus. The context menu is not
intended to be jammed packed with ever possible contextual option available to
an object.

Very likely that the code handling these drawing objects are the same in both
draw and writer. Taking care of one will correct the other. Closing this as

Q: UX impact of not doing it

Q: priority

@Jay, OK--flesh it out. I think native handling is all filter parsed BMP/DIB,
and originals are held--but then either deleted when replaced with processed
image.

Performance and size issues to do this across LibreOffice. Would not want to
leave it enabled for all sessions. We already loose too many images.

So, how would you see this working in the UI? A Tools - General toggle, a
toggle in the Image dialog?

I believe the only viable solution is to keep the original image and process
the filter on it in the same way that graphics mode/brightness/contrast work.

It would be integrated into the image toolbar so users could change between the
filters and it would also be in the image tab of the image dialog or a new tab
would be added to handle settings for filters, graphics mode, brightness,
contrast, colors, and gamma.

@Cor, *,

Don't think bug 84177 actually had a plan--it merely suggested that if the
clipboard elements are not active, none--specifically the Paste Special--should
be visible.

This issue proposes just the opposite, the clipboard functions should always
appear--active and available for use, or not--from the context menu.

However, Adolfo's split menu mockup from 84177
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=108300 is appealing UI.

Suggest we close bug 84177 as WontFix and move this one forward, with Adolfo's
mockup.
