[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 89608] TOC: Redesign of the Entries tab of the Index/Table dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89608 --- Comment #23 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #21) Stephan spotted another problem with the dialog: the 'apply to all' button. The best solution here is to remove this button completely and to add an entry in the levels dropdown. So users have to select either a particular item ('hierarchy level' called in the latest mockup, but depending on the chosen type on the first tab) or to select 'all levels' here (should be the first item). Cant say that i agree with this approach, as a user will likely be on whatever level is set when they enter the tab and then jump to the entries section to make the changes he/she wants and then want to apply that change to other levels. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 90090] New: Rearranging the UI of Draw
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90090 Bug ID: 90090 Summary: Rearranging the UI of Draw Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: ux-advise Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com CC: libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org As Draw is supposed to be drawing application, its UI should look similar to applications like Dia, Calligra Flow, Krita, Inkscape and GIMP. UI Features In These Apps: 1) Single row top toolbar 2) Left column toolbar of drawing tools 3) Right sidebar with properties With this basic UI, i've rearranged Draw's UI to look similar to this ( http://i.imgur.com/M1k9DHT.png ). In order to fully implement this redesign, the sidebar needs a new Pages tab to take the place of the current right side Pages pane. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 90090] Rearranging the UI of Draw
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90090 --- Comment #1 from Adolfo Jayme f...@libreoffice.org --- (In reply to Jay Philips from comment #0) As Draw is supposed to be drawing application, its UI should look similar to applications like Dia, Calligra Flow, Krita, Inkscape and GIMP. One word: fallacy. 2) Left column toolbar of drawing tools Ack. […] the sidebar needs a new Pages tab to take the place of the current right side Pages pane. The sidebar is meant to contain contextual properties, not main navigation. Any page selector must be on the left. [Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 88038] WRITER WEB: handling of inserted images -- data URI embedding as base64 for email support, broke LO as HTML editor
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88038 --- Comment #10 from Christoph Anton Mitterer cales...@scientia.net --- I absolutely agree with Jay, the data URI shouldn't be used per default. - It's definitely not the standard in the web. - Supporting it is not mandatory as per the HTML standards. Many browsers don't support it. - It's really a crude hack anyway, as it blows up the data size extremely. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
