[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 90490] Providing chart style/color presets
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90490 --- Comment #5 from Yousuf (Jay) Philips--- (In reply to Bastián Díaz from comment #4) > Does this only comes to the colors of charts? The colors of the chart data series is one of the pieces that is hoped to be covered by this bug enhancement, the others being element layout and element styles. > See: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93088 > > Please check, and if necessary, mark as duplicate. > So I can create another report, including color palettes like styles. I think your bug maybe related to document theming (bug 90497). As an update to this bug report, I brought up the topic of chart styles in wednesday's design meeting and discussed it with Heiko and Matthias. I've asked them to proposed data series color sets and chart element layouts, and others are welcome to do the same. My current research on this, as well as chart styles from competing office suites can be found at the following link. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6qJrVIa0SAlfmZTWFI4MWpCLUh0OXlnYVV5bmtoMXNVU25kRzlHNDZZQ3FDdVFvcHU1emc=sharing -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

Also, there is some weird juxtaposition in editengine in that the successive HEADING levels increase the base line of the indent. That doesn't seem correct either. However, checked LO 3.3.0, 3.4.6, 4.0.6.2, this formatting of multi-line Headings has been with LO from the start, setting Inherited from OOo Would probably be simplest to remove the negative first line indent (if we can locate where that is assigned), but we will need to test extensively as it could cause problems elsewhere in Navigator, numbered/bulleted, content, and index styles. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

It is not clear that it can be implemented for Writer in similar fashion because while drawings and slide tend to be atomic, writer documents flow from paragraph to paragraph, and pages become containers for the formatted text, tables and image frames. None the less agree it would be a useful UI widget, just not active by default. As always, implementing would depend on a dev interested in coding it. @Yan, we don't care about Microsoft's Word UI, just if it makes sense in our UI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
